My wife is quite happy with her gennys and I have a Russian 91 on the way for her. But she will not do any rebuilding at all. I don't want her to be totally dependant on me if to many things go south and I'm not around.

We have some protanks but the are the first version and the replacement heads were hit and miss. Sometimes great sometimes leaking or gurgling.

I'll probably still rebuild the heads too. But I want her to be fairly comfortable thy that when she pulls a stock head/coil out of the box it's going to work for a good long time. (Week or two)

No ego connections. 510 only. And she's bedridden at times so not leaking out mouthpiece when laying on back is important.

I've tried most of the more common clearos currently out (Kanger Evod, Kanger Protanks 1 & 2, Innokin iClear 16 & 30, and Vision Vivi Nova).

My overall favorite is the iClear 30. Dual top coils, 16 wicks. Rotatable drip tip. 3 ml capacity. Lotsa vapor and the best flavor of any of the clearomizers. Going on nearly 2 months with four tanks and have not yet needed to change a head.

Thanks folks. I just realized that I believe her SVD has ego threading so I'm open to suggestions for that too. Sound like iclear30 is in the lead

keep them coming please folks. She got REALLY nervous when I was in the hospital for a few days. Thanks!

I find the SmokTech ARO heads to be well made. And the heads will fit your Pro Tank. Pro Tank heads will not fit the ARO clear tho.

I have 4 or 5 protanks so I'll check out ARO.

2 months!? Do you wash and/or dry burn?

Did the iclear30 always had a swivel tip?I think I have one of the originals somewhere that she liked until she tried my SS builds. But I don't remember having a swivel

Ever considered a carto tank? Same concept as a replaceable head clearo, but even more user friendly. Just grab a fresh carto, put liquid in the filler, load it into the tank, fill the tank, close it up, and vape away the day (especially with a 5ml tank).

Yup. Was on carto tanks for 2 years before I started rebuilding. They served us well but she burnt out to many. I need something that won't burn like silica or SS. Thanks. They worked great for me but she always chiefed too much or accidentally raised the V or W too high

I just picked up an iClear30 for my Chiclone. Hits real nice. My iClear 16 and mini protank2 are my second choices.

Thanks for another vote for iclear30!

I haven't had to do a cleaning yet either. I'm using mostly only clear fruit flavors or DIY eliquids. Occassionally I will get no vapor, and then I will increase the voltage slightly and do some short pulse dry burns (no longer than 3 - 4 seconds). Then they work good as new. Probably some gunked-up juice build-up on the coils. The iClear 30 are extremely low maintanance and would be a great choice for your wife.

My Innokin VTR came with the new iClear 30 clearo. I PIF'd my other iClear 30s so can't do a head to head comparison but the flavor seems to be noticeably better with the new iClear than what I recall with my old ones. The iClear 30s should be arriving in the U.S. soon as the Chinese wholesalers seem to have them. On the downside for your purposes, the heads are definitely not rebuildable.

You also might want to consider pairing a knucklehead drip tip with Vision's new Aurora BFT (bottom feeding tank). It's a bit more expensive than the i30s is likely to be but you get dripping taste. It comes with a regular dripping atty as well as a sort of DIY atty with rebuildable heads. You could also just replace the atty with some cheap Joye's you can get at Digital Cigzz for $2 apiece.

Thanks again folks! I've got some reading to do. The NEW iclear 30s are just becoming available? I may just snatch one up. And I'll check the prices on the ARO heads to see if I can make use of my protanks. Tumbler? Like I said... A lot of reading today.

And, 44, I've heard a lot about the Kanger Ts... Any reason you would recommend the T2 over the T3? I would assume the 3 would be a later version.

rounding third and heading home...
any of the aspire dual bottom coil clearos are better than anything mentioned IMO. better flavor, better vapor and no leaks or dry hits. they are so good kanger and others are rushing to put out their own version of a dual coil asap. easy to use and no need to tinker withit in any way-try it and you'll see............:2c:

I just don't like bottom coil designs for flavor. The cooler and typically airier vape just makes me want to quit vaping as well as its lack of flavor.

The dual coil iclears have been my standby now, and I have just ordered more.

When the bdc's(aspires) have been out for a few months, maybe I will give them a shot, but I have heard of qc issues with their heads lately.

another vote for the Iclear 30,,,,,,

but it IS a top coil, which means some (very little with the Iclear) twirling to keep the wicks wet,,,,,,,,,

also, since it's top coil, the vape is warmer,,,,,,,,,,which I love, but if she prefers a cooler vape, I'd recommend a bottom coil vivi nova,,,,,,Vivis are my second choice, and I know they make a bcc.

For me, the T2 offers much more flavor without harshness. The numbering doesn't make a lot of sense - the T2 is a top coil, the T3 is a bottom coil, the T4 is a top coil. The T2 heads stick out of the top of the tube, so changing them is ridiculously easy. One other benefit is that these heads are a unique shape, not copied much if at all. As a result, if you order heads from US vendors or Fasttech, they are likely from Kanger and will fit. These leak rarely versus the other clearos I've tried.

My experience with bottom coils (Evod and Protank) left me with less flavor and a harsher vape at 1.8 - 2.5 ohms. Bottom coils are popular right now and I may be in the minority, but it could be useful to try a couple options to see what your wife prefers. Good luck finding her easy to use sweet spot!
