What clearo/tank/carto thing will get me the cleanest flavor, and huge vapor?

Now, I've seen videos on youtube of people with just nuts vapor.

I currently have two ego twist batteries, 1300mah.

Every cartomizer I've tried filling sucked. airy draw, weird flavor, not strong, just.... I don't know, funny. Maybe the smoktech ones just suck, but I've watched a ton of videos, I'm pretty sure I'm fillin' em right.

I have no issues really with my vivi or my clearomizer, just that the vapor is a little faint, and I feel like the flavor could be a little stronger.

I'm wondering what the "perfect" tank is for flavor and thick vapor, in general. I know flavor, blend, PG/VG mix all plays in (so far I think I like 20-50% vg, more seems to be a little cleaner drag for me)

I'm not concerned with "throat hit" and as I understand it, I don't like that much. what i do like however, is that thick, buttery feeling you get from a good perfectly packed pipe or a perfect temp'd hookah, where you are just exhaling thunderclouds. That's one of the things I miss the most from my pipe, is that buttery feeling from the super thick smoke. but I also don't want that to come at the cost of flavor, although I somehow doubt more vapor would mean less flavor.

So I'm hoping the vets can throw a few ideas at me!
I like the look and huge capacity of this tank:
SmokTech V2 Tank Kit

But I'm hesitant about buying more smoktech things. Size and look isn't important, what I want is something that will produce clouds, and not taste terrible.

It's not important that it's a clearomizer or a cartotank or anything specific, but I'd prefer it hold at least two-ish ml of juice.

So, hit me with your suggestions. I won't be ordering for a while, so of course this isn't time sensitive.

You guys are the best. Love this forum so far.

Hi Punkonjunk and welcome!

Since you didn't specify what cartos and clearos you're using, I can't give you a very specific answer, sorry. But I'll try my best.

Videos--the vapor always looks huge on videos due to lighting. ;)

E-cigs are nothing like hookah--it's a different animal altogether so don't expect similar results.

I'm not a fan of ViVi Novas myself; I dislike top coil models and ViVi Novas always taste funny to me. I hate those long wicks.

Smoktech makes good cartomizers, but I prefer Boges. Have you tried single or dual coil cartos? Dual coil cartos produce more vapor than single coils, but very little warmth. Vaping on a 1.5Ω DC carto is like vaping two 3Ω cartomizers at the same time. I don't use them anymore because of that, but if you want tons of (cool) vapor, you may give them a try.

I like Kanger bottom coil changeable clearomizers the best--T3, eVod, Protank etc. Have you tried them? Have you tried Vapeonly mini bcc? That's a nice one also.

The tank you linked is huge--6 ml--I wouldn't recommend it for an eGo-class battery. It will be very top-heavy. If you want to try a dual coil Smoktech tank, try their smaller version:

SMOK TECH DUAL COILS TANK(DCT)

You can use it with single coil XL cartos as well.

About those reviewers huge clouds of vapor. Notice that most of them don't inhale. They do that intentionally to make the product look better.

I use Boge and Smoktech cartos in tanks and get tons of vapor and I inhale but I use a mod not an ego. If you want clouds of vapor you'll need to move up to a mod IMO. The Twist is not a bad battery but it limits you to the tanks you can use on it. I wouldn't want my PC looking like a lollypop. :) The Protank on a twist is probably your best bet if you don't care what it looks like.

I don't use Vivi Novas or any clearos because like you said, they mute flavor. The Protank uses silica so it mutes flavor a bit also but not as bad and you can rebuild it with anything you want.

Hi punkonjunk...

Lots of questions and lots of ways to approach this.

First, a tank that takes a cartomizer (a carto tank) will be pretty much dependent on the cartomizer you use for flavor and vapor. The tank just keeps the cartomizer wet with juice.

For clearomizers, Katya's recommendations are all good. Clearomizers have improved a LOT over just the past 3-6 months, with a lot more product variety. I personally have had decent experience with Vivi Novas and have yet to try any of the bottom-coil units yet, but have heard good things about them.

You didn't mention the ejuice you are vaping, but the ejuice makeup between PG and VG also has a big impact on vapor production. PG vapor is more vapid (like "seeing your breath" on a cold day), whereas VG creates a richer and fuller feeling vapor. Problem is, PG carries flavors better than VG, so it's all a tradeoff between rich clouds of vapor and strong flavor. Most vendors nowadays mix at least some VG in their juice to a specific PG/VG raio -- some vendors keep this ratio proprietary while others allow you to select your own ratios (for those vendors, I do a 50/50 ratio).

Your best bet is to try several products and juice to find out what works best for YOU.... just like food, everybody has different tastes and preferences, and it takes a fair amount of experimentation when first starting out to settle on your perfect device.
