Well, I used to love the ones that had just a tiny bit of a picture from a movie and people would start guessing, separated by every couple hours or so. Every 6 hours or so you expand the picture to make it a little easier each time -- I recommend using the movie Ruthless People!!! Vewterans of other contests will recognize my standard guess!!!

Or you can scramble a picture of a famous place or person and let the populace guess, same sort of rules.

Well, it depends on how long you want the contest to last?

You could post trivia-type questions, maybe once a day for 6 days. Then with all of the answers on the 7th day give one final clue (people would need to assemble 1 letter from each correct answer on the following days to get the correct 6 letter answer)

First person to send in all right answers, wins.

For example:
Day 1 answer - Spoon
Day 2 - Washer
Day 3 - Georgia
Day 4 - Ring
Day 5 - Spades
Day 6 - Shirt

and the 7th day, you make a question that used only one letter from each word of the previous days...

Something sharp - to stab one with, plural = swords

Of course, this would take some time and thought, lol.
