Started in Oct last year with a cyclone rba, reo grand, and mvp 2.0 . Memorized ohm's law, looked at the max amp rating of my battery, Watched a couple of youtube vids on making coils and after a few feet of wire and a cotton ball I got the hang of it and been dripping ever since. I knew I was gonna be vaping for the long haul so I skipped all the cig-a-likes and beginner starter kits.

Went straight from cigs to a Vamo V5 + Protank setup. Next it will be a Billet Box (if i can ever find one instock) or a Provari.

I also got the vamo v3 when I started. Didn't even use it and ended up selling it to my friend. I'm also planning to get a Provari or reo woodvil for my next one.

New vapers have it so good now a days. :D Back when I started, the cigalikes were the only choices.

Wow, that makes me sound old....

I remember when the eGo was first hitting the streets. It was still treated like a big cigalike and they either had a cigar or cigarette cartomizer with no other options. Clearos and VV batteries on eGos are surprisingly new.

Started with cheap OTC stuff. The went with an ego, next came vv with the ego twist( many cartos/clearos in these days) next came the itaste vv, for the variable wattage. Then graduated to the itaste vtr(which I love) with a rba/rda. So that was my first mod. I wanna build my own copper mod. We'll see how that goes lol

I started with the following:

Mech mods (Hcigar clones of Sentinel M16 and King, well made and trouble-free in operation)
FT Nimbus clone RDAs
Hcigar clone of Kayfun 3.1
Kanger ProTank 2s (gave these away, not a fan)
18650 batteries and a charger
Multimeters (I already had a couple of these lying around)
100 ft Kanthal A1 28 AWG
Organic cottonballs
e-liquid from multiple sources

I started with an Ego VV starter kit, came with a disposable tank and switched it to a replaceable carto tank that ended up cracking (plastic tank) due to the flavor I put in it (noob move). After 2 months I switched to, and am currently running, a Nemesis Mod (clone) with an Igo-W rebuildable, Sony 18650 batt and looking to get a hammer mod pretty soon too :)

It was like a car dealer smoke shop... spent 50$ and got a very crappy battery and a plastic t3 type tank...
upgraded to a itaste vv v3.0 and a AnyVape Davide Glassomizer all onsale ended up spending 40$ for that...
Still in the process of DIY my juice since im hyper-sensitive to PG and worse palm/Cocoanut...
I'm on the look-out now for a nicotine source thats Alcohol based to add to My own soy VG base.

1) Blu disposable - worked, made me believe this could work

2) Blu Kit - Horrible, ran out to local gas station and bought a few more disposables and then hit the net to find an alternative

3) Green Smoke - great for what it is but found Youtube vids on vaping, discovered ECF and I was hooked

4) ITASTE vv/vw 3 - took the mrs to local B& M on got 2 starter kits (could have bought 4 online for the same price)

5) ITASTE MVP 2.0 - online for $39.00 each from 101vapes

I started with cigalikes 3 years ago or so, quit using them and went back to smoking. THen last September I bought an ego-t 900 mah. I had a half pack of cigarettes which I smoked 1 a day until they were gone and I haven't looked back. About 3 weeks in I broke my ego and I didn't have a backup. I did smoke 1 cigarette that afternoon. I went and got another ego and ordered my first mod. An itaste vv 3.0, which is a great little unit and I still use it for checking resistance. I don't vape much with it. THen just for backups I bought a group of egos that someone on here was selling on the classifieds. 4 vision spinners and 2 ego twists, I still use them somewhat. Then I received a Chi You mech mod as a PIF from a member here and immediately bought a Nemesis clone from China. I now use the mechs almost exclusively. They do take a bit of learning, but to me it was well worth it.

I started back in 2007 with the crappiest little cig-a-like set straight from China (friend picked it up there while on a business trip and he wanted me to stop smoking) he picked it up for $38 lol I laugh at it every time I see it, it still works too which amazes me.

I can't even remember what my first mod was but it looked ridiculous compared to what we have now a days
