I started vaping a few months ago and, as of today, have not had one cig for 30 days. Considering that I smoked for 37 years, I’m pretty proud of myself!

I used to roll my own cigarettes and have at least five pounds of cigarette tobacco that won’t be used. Looking for creative ways to dispose of it. Ideas?

Send it to me. I'll burn it :)

I'm one of the few who didn't start vaping to "quit". I wanted to save money, and still have the occasional smoke.

I guess it's probably illegal somehow to ship a large quantity of tobacco, but if it's not, I'll pay for shipping, and a bit extra if it's not ....ty baccy ;-)

EDIT: I used to roll exclusively (no packs for me) so I can twist a pretty mean one. In fact, I almost miss the rolling as much as anything else!

You should be proud, I'm going on 6 weeks without a tobacco cigarette and I smoked a pack a day for 30 years. 5 pounds is alot to just throw away, maybe somone on ECF knows of a way to extract the nicotine out of it and it could be used for some DIY juice. I was also a RYO cigarette smoker but I only had a few ounces of tobacco left so it went in the trash 2 weeks ago.

damn! five pounds?!

Keep an ounce just in case you lapse (no reason to spend more money on the stuff) and then pack the rest into ziplock bags... go to wherever the homeless congregate in your town and hand it the hell out. They would appreciate any papers you have just stuffed down beside the tobacco, I'm sure. I always used filters so a handful of those on top and you've got yourself a big santa bag full of belated hobo-xmas.

Congrats on 30 days! And wow, 5 pounds. I have about 300 grams, I have only been exclusively vaping for 3 days, I am going to give my left over tobacco to a friend, I am hoping that someday I can convince her to try vaping.

I must of accidentally put the wrong date into the banner, trying to figure out how to fix now. I started vaping again just over a week ago, but have only been smoke free for just over 3days.

FYI, nic makes an excellent insect repellent. If you garden you may want to keep some of your tobacco, let it steep in a jar in the sun, and spray your flowers/veggies with the resulting tea. Very common in organic gardening. Even better if you add some hot peppers to the mix before steeping: capsaicin is also a repellent!

I never knew that nicotine was used in some insect repellents. I was wondering why a grasshopper jumped up on the rail of my porch the other day and asked if I had a light.

DISCLAIMER: I think some of my recreational activities from the late 70's to early 80's may have caught up with me or I need my meds adjusted.

I smoked for 24 years and ever spring/summer I get eaten alive by mosquitoes. I must have done something wrong.
