HEADS UP:

You have Volt equipment. They are NOT 510 threaded devices, they are 808 threaded. Everyone's suggestions are good, except they are pointing you towards gear that will not work with your equipment without an adapter. Or, get 808 threaded atomizers and equivalents.

Also, all Smokeless Image products purchased in at least the last 6 months or so are sealed batteries. You would probably be fine using an atomizer to drip onto your sealed auto battery.

Thank you for that! That's one of the most confusing parts of all this is the different thread sizes and the "what fits this?" stuff.
I'm going to use one of my unused cartos and a spare 78mm battery and see how that works. I don't care if I ruin that combo if I mess up something.
Thank you all!

This is a bit confusing for sure. I am a new user to the forums.,. trYing to get the right to post, so I must post here I guess, which makes the blind lead the blind and is relatively dumb. However, I too have had this problem. I bought a bunch of atty/tank combos. each tank takes about 8-12 drops....vape, taste. If it sucks wash our the tank and try again. If the atty is flavored by some as tasting cinn/clove/mint/ment etc..just shake it in some cheap vodka, water and blow it out and let it dry. having a few dripping tips/attys is cool too. I'm a n00b and im sure I have walked into some doodoo...but this is my take...good vaping,,, ( PS...NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS ABOUT A FLAVOR..GET A SMALL SAMPLE FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hi Ron, I use X2s. The autos are sealed - which means they are drip resistant. I think mr.outlaw's video may have been made prior to the sealed autos.
Anyway - yes, you can use the carto with the filler taken out on an auto. Just don't drip into it while it's screwed onto the auto. Two drops is enough - you don't want to flood the cartomizer.
You should get about ten hits vaping from two drops. I've done this myself.

So - pull the carto stuffing out with tweezers, drop in two drops of juice. Wait a few seconds, then put carto on battery.
Since Volt and X2 autos are sealed - if you do get a bit off juice on them just wipe it off. It is best to avoid getting juice on a battery - so drip the carto off the battery then screw it on.
Hope that helps.

Volts and X2s are 808 threaded. So if you want an atomizer you need either an 808 or to buy an 808-510 adapter. The cartomizer method works fine with SI stuff tho.

You will NOT be fine using an auto battery with an atomizer that might possibly leak.
Especially if you are making it out of a cartomizer.

I have some Smokeless Image sealed auto batteries, and they are not sealed as tight
as the manuals. If juice gets in that battery, it's done - and juice will eventually get in
if you use it to drip.

How do I know?

I did it. I fried the batt.

Now, what I don't know is if you could get by with it if you used a drip shield.

Sure you can - don't drip the carto while its on the battery - and wait for the drops to hit the bottom coil before putting it on the battery - i.e. give it a few seconds. You soon see if it's overfilled before you go to put it on the battery. Autos aren't ideal - but if you're careful you can use a carto this way for dripping. Just don't use more than 2 drops. I've done tons of it and don't get juice on my battery at all. When I have flooded the carto it's leaked onto a paper towel I put it on to drip.
Just pays to be careful.

Thank you! I did it all wrong and it still worked fine. Yes, I dripped it into an empty carto with it already on the battery. I didn't really know what I was doing anyway and didn't care if I ruined anything, but it worked fine. I did flood it with just 3 drops once and it did get on the battery. I just wiped it off, cleaned the carto out and kept going. I sure won't drip into it while it's on the battery anymore either way. Now if I could just get my taste buds to start working I'd be happy. I've got about 3 juices (out of the 18 I've tried) that don't taste like chemicals or perfume. Granted, it hasn't been that long since my last cigarette and I had a major slip up Monday night that didn't help either (long story).

Other than not dripping into the carto while it's on the battery, my lesson for the week is this: Early on, when you can't taste much, DO NOT run out of the few juices you like or you'll be back smoking again!! ( And always be prepared for longer than usual days too.)

I'd suggest getting a 510 atomizer and a sealed 510to808 adapter. Dripping into an atty you're going to want to keep the battery as straight up and down as possible. If you hold it horizontal up to your mouth like a cigarette you may get dry hits and/or juice in the mouth. It's a good idea for every vaper to have at least one solid atty for taste testing juice, especially if you swap flavors with friends or go to any meetups. I'm mainly a cartotank vaper and I didn't have an atomizer when I went to VaperCon. I was going crazy till I shelled out for a good atty to try all the free samples with. Now I use it to test juice strait from the mailbox and then after steeping to see which ones are ready for the tank.

I've currently got about 15 new juices here that I am spending alot of time trying to get thru. I have a Volt X2 using CE3's and it's getting to be a pain to fill and clean multiples just to try out a new juice. I know, noob question, but do I need anything else to make the process of tasting new juices go quicker? Can I do something different with what I have?
eventhou ive ordered almost 50 juices, im trying to be patient & not jumping from one to the other:
1. the feeling i get from first intake is different from the feeling i get after 5 minits & that is different from the feeling i get after a whole day. therfore i understand i cant get a clear notion of my feelings towerds the liqued if im hurry from one to the other.
2. the experience of testing is totally different from that of 'real world' vaping.

I have a Key Lime Pie that was Great at first, Tolerable after 1/2 the carto, then downright unpleasant by the time it was gone. Thank the gods it was a sample size.

Got Vapes and some other vendors are offering 'shorty' cartos. I don't know about the others,
but those at Got Vapes have less filler in them, and if I'm remembering right, it is made out of
a different substance. So, the word is that they are very easy to clean and refill without leaving
a taste behind. I think they hold about a half mil.
