What do I need so I can use my Halo G6 (KR808D-1) Cartos on a larger battery like an eGo?

Hi Vets,
I have a lot of Halo G6 cartos and I'm thinking I want to go to a bigger battery for longer vaping between charges. Is it worthwhile using my convenient and abundant supply of G6 cartos on a eGo? Is it even a good idea? Or is there another combo I should be looking at? I really prefer the cartomizer for it's ease of use, and I'd prefer not to loose my investment in G6 cartos.
Thanks for the help.

Sure it's possible, and all you need is an inexpensive thread adapter to use your KR808d1 cartos on a 510 threaded eGo. Adapters use the battery thread first in their description so you'd need a 510 to 808 to put your cartos on an eGo.

Another option is to buy an 808 threaded battery with a larger capacity. The PigCig is one such unit, but there are others available.

[I composed the following long-winded answer before I saw cskent's correct and concise one above. This simply expands on what he said, providing specific examples.]

Either:

  • A Kr8-compatible fat batt (kit or battery and charger), e.g., the Echo (up to 1300 mAh), iGo (1100 mAh), or Elite 808 (only 380 mAh and not really fat, but my current favorite). [As for LeCig's PigCig (which I have never used), it seems overpriced to me.]
Also, the Riva-901 (750 mAh) might work. [The 901 and Kr8 have the same threading, but the airflow works differently. Because of that, the Riva-901 works with some Kr8 cartos but not others. I'm not sure about the G6. Getting an inexpensive 901-to-808 adapter would ensure compatibility.]

All but the Echo (automatic) are manual batteries. The Echo, iGo, and Elite are especially intended for the larger-capacity (2-4 ml) cartomizers that come with the kits, but they are definitely compatible with the 1-ml Kr8 cartos like the G6. The Echo and Riva-901 are the least expensive.
OR
  • Any of the 510-compatible fat batts used with an inexpensive 510-to-808/901 adapter (e.g., $1.50 from Good Prophets).

Because of its voltage (and price), my favorite 510 fat batt is the 750 mAh, 3.7V Riva-510 (full kit for $30 from Liberty-Flights, after clicking on their "20% Discount" icon at the upper left of their website). [NOTE: I see that Liberty-Flights now shows the Riva's milliamp hours as 650 mAh. I don't know if the previously claimed 750 was inflated for the past two years or whether EastMall has changed it ... or perhaps its a typo(?). The Riva-901 is still shown as 750 mAh.:?:]

Of course, there is a lot to recommend about the classic 3.2V 650 mAh Joye eGo (aka 'Tornado') ... or any of its iterations: higher mAh, eGo-T's enhanced battery, PT version, etc. However, since it is about half a volt less than your current G6 batteries, you may notice some diminishing in VTF [Vapor, TH, and Flavor].

And there are many unique 510-compatible fat batts (which I have not used) with varying appearances, features, and compatibility. Some may be outstanding choices, but I don't have first-hand knowledge. For example, SmokTek's 900 mAh CRV 900 ... the 1300 mAh Echo-e (e.g., from Cool Vapes and Cropduster 901) ... and MadVapes' 900 mAh "Ego" (Smok Tech) Dual Coil Cartomizer Kit all seem intriguing. [FYI: Because of incompatibility with some of my cartomizers, I no longer recommend the KGO.]
So two ways to go ... and lots of choices in each path.

Enjoy the adventure!
