What do I need to get started?

Ok, I've been doing some reading and watching some YouTube videos so I think I know how to go about rebuilding the coils on my new ProTanks (I bought several spare heads as well, so I hope to not run out).

When doing some Christmas shopping, I threw a spool of Kanthal wire in my Amazon cart as well (it was cheap) and I know that I need to get some sort of wicking material (probably organic cotton balls).

Is there anything else I need to get? An Ohm meter would likely be the best purchase prior to actually using any coil I build, just to make sure that I won't fry my battery, so that is on my to-buy list; but is there anything else?

A good set of needle nose pliers and some snips (some folks use finger-nail clippers). A small drill bit to wrap the coil around and hold it in place (even if you plan on pulling silica through later...just makes it easier...but I recommend a sterile cotton wick personally).

Cool, thanks. I have some good pliers and snips from building headphone cables (another fun hobby), but I will likely buy some exclusively for this. That and the Ohm meter and I should be good it go (for now, until I decide to buy another PV...)
