1. Read this forum. There are many "pearls" of wisdome burried in here. This is about a week's (minimum) enjoyment.
2. Find and read Danny & Hoosier's blogs on DIY. These two are the ones that first/most impressed me as having usable experience I can call upon. There are other good posters.
3. Read the stickys at the top of this forum.
4. Continue reading this forum - daily.
5. Look long and hard at Wizard Labs for your materials. They have everything I need. (Most kits I found contained items I would never use.)

Good Luck!! This is a fun hobby.

^^^^^^^ what rowdy said ...... read and read and read. read those blogs and all the stickies. and then read them again lol.... I spent several weeks reading non stop about it. not really much to it . nic, vg/pg , flavors, measuring equipment of some sort and obviously something to put it in . safety first always . know what you are using, why you are using it and how to use it safely. after that read it all maybe one more time and then let the fun begin !

I'm going to echo what Rowdy and Will said. Read, read, and read some more. I spent at least a month doing research before starting Diy. In the end the supplies you need are: Good quality Nic, PG, VG, flavoring (unless you like unflavored), measuring equipment (I use syringes), bottles for your mixes. Safety equipment like gloves and eye protection are also needed. Good luck with your DIY Adventure. :vapor:

Cheers,
Steve

There are a TON of different flavorings from a bunch of different vendors...as you read, take note of recipes that sound tasty to you. write down the recipe, and keep a list of the flavors in them, which is easier if you do it by brand (there's a list of abbreviations for companies' names around here somewhere). There are vendors that carry several different flavoring brands and supplies, like Wizard labs and ecig express, and it's easy to get lost and $$ carried away in the hundreds of flavor listings, so developing a flavor list to start with makes sense to me!!

I've had descent luck getting some hardware...bottles and especially syringes... on ebay as well. Try amazon too.

I agree with read, read, read... and ask questions too!! If you're thinking about doing it likely someone has tried it, and people are friendly and enjoy helping!
