NexGen Vapor | The Utimate DNA 30 Ecig

I am an avid Provari lover. I love the reliability of it. They are all I own. I just saw this linked in another thread. Maybe it's old news but it looks pretty sexy to me. This is the 1st I have seen of it. I would love to be able to run a 1ohm coil at 5 volts with a regulated battery if I want to. I cannot stand having the hit get weaker as the battery drains and I like safety. I don't need to vape that hot usually but there have been times when I went to high and got the dreaded error code. I wouldn't be cashing in my Provaris until this thing has been out for a year or so and I see how their customer support is rated but this thing turns my head. What do the rest of you think about it?

do a search in the forum for nexgen, they have a pretty big vendor thread going, with plenty of ups and down, as for the moditself it is well made (when made correctly), so you will have to see the way things have been going lately and form your own opinions on if it is worth ordering.
and if the dna 30 works as good as the last two chips it should provide a pretty good vape,I have used the 20 and both kicks from evolv and they work great.

I have both and both are dang fine vapes.
I only have two minor gripes with the nexgen(dna 20,plenty of power for my vaping).
1. Its longer than a provari with the same battery, the dna board takes up more length than the provari's(very minor gripe).
2. battery life is not as good as the provari.
Other than that, the futura is a good PV so far.

I am really tempted but the quality issues have me hesitating.

They came out and said they fixed some leaking issues from the top cap, where juice could theoretically make its way inside the tube. And then they said its air tight, *except for the screen! don't put juice there!" Now I am sure that would never be an issue for me. But I like that on my provari, I KNOW it is solid and a drop of juice on the display won't be an issue.

I think I'm going to wait for provape to come out with something a little more powerful before jumping to nexgen. I have no issues with the current provari in my setup now, so I can be patient.

Liquid from a leaking clearo or anything else can get into a ProVari through the edges of the screen.....I know. An overnight bath had mine going back to the ProVape hospital. Even after doing the alcohol bath that was suggested to me by ProVape.

Other than that, yep. Pretty hard to damage the ProVari. I manage to do a number on mine though. ;) That's why I now have three. Gotta have backups for when this user error happens. :p

Can I ask you where is the Futura Ti body machined.................? If is made in China that is a deal breaker for me:mad:

I don't think the futura body is Ti. or even available in Ti.,mine is high grade aluminum and it is noticeably lighter than a provari.
I don't plan on smashing either with a hammer to find out which holds up best(I already know which would win that contest)so I should be fine.

the Futura is aircraft grade aluminum - the TI model is a color finish option, nothing more, it is completely milled, assembled and built in Ca

Its a nice mod, a few revisions would make it a top contender no doubt in my mind. Im on the other side of the fence for this argument - I am not overly impressed with the DNA board so I sold it. but the mod itself is very nicely done. the way all three battery tubes fit together seamlessly is a nice touch.

I own both mods. Based solely from my own experience there was no comparison between the customer service or quality of the two. Buy a Provari and you know you will get a quality device and if there are any problems they will be taken care of quickly and kindly. Buy a Futura and you might get a quality device and if you have any problems they probably wont be taken care of quickly nor kindly.

I would highly recommend a person take the time to read through the nexgen/futura section here on ecf and then make the best decision for themselves. As for me, I would buy another Provari.

I am not all the way threw the futura thread but I won't be ordering one just from what I have seen so far. I will wait for Provape and if I don't like what they come out with next I will just keep my Provari's. I won't ever be without that kind of customer service in my vaping lifetime. I will always stick with Provape. Just checking into the only thing that ever turned my head and seeing the horror those people who ordered are going threw was enough to make me want to send Provape a thank you card.
