Ha! Nope... just stuck it on there one day about 20 or so years ago when I first got DSL service
With the username I was using some 20 years ago, I would had never made it beyond the first 2-3 posts in the "New forum members" section..... 
I would like to have made a comment on the above post,(Sonics) but unfortunately, I can't duck and run for cover as fast as I used to, so I say nuttin.
3 year into my career: Texas Department of Criminal Justice. At this point I'm a "sergeant" in rank but not quite authority or pay. I work in the Laundry. Most of my job is supervising offender workers and keeping the shenanigans at an acceptable level. I have been recommended by my Head Warden that the rehabilitation side of our work needs people like me, hard enough to punish but willing to give offenders a chance to better themselves. Can't take vape gear into the unit. It's not glamorous, but if feel like I'm doing my part to make our world a little nicer. Some of our "clients" really just need "some good old fashioned parenting" while some need to be locked in a dark hole for the rest of their lives.
Bravo to our members who served in the military, we need y'all and respect you. Big respect to the folks that catch the knuckleheads I watch too, you guys (and gals, no sexist lean here.) are in a trench too.

Disabled now - speaking of SS disability, I figured I was doing even worse than I thought when they gave it to me on my first application. So now I mostly sit in the recliner with a computer in front of me and a bunch of bird feeders outside the window. That and figuring out new ways to do things I used to be able to. Did you know that you can garden pretty well from a chair? And I am now a pretty fast one finger typist.
Before everything fell apart I had mostly been doing tech support, but my last job was fun - I was a moderator for a major online retailer's forums. Earlier in life I had once owned a garden center, and I've done a lot of weird short term jobs - florist, turkey gutter, bartender. And always gardened and canned and sewed, etc.
I was still a smoker when I worked - had to quit when I couldn't hold onto lit cigarettes. Now there is an immediate health hazard.

Good for you Riff! My brother in law started at the Walls unit just out of high school. He worked in the laundry for awhile, then was a discipline officer for a number of years. He retired with a great pension two years ago as a Head Warden. TDC promotes from within, so you're on your way! Good luck!
Im a butcher. In Medellín i ran my own lot but here in miami im a manager in a supermarket meat and seafood departments.
Physical security specialist, aka: locksmith. My company, my rules! I don't vape on jobs but between jobs it on!! All commercial with some bigger access control companies doing mag locks, electric releases and electrified locks. Some fun work in Washington DC in some very cool places for some very cool people!
