Zo ...

What are your thoughts on the 2010 CTS-V and GTR? I love both cars, and while they are wayyyyy out of my price range, I can atleast dream! PLUS, Cadillac coming out with a 2011 CTS-V coupe!!! Man ... Steve needs to start buying lottery tickets!!! I'm feeling a win coming!!!!LOL

I absolutely love the CTS-V. It's a car done right. Rear wheel drive, a proper manual transmission as an option, big v-8 engine up front, and a suspension that was tuned on the Nurburgring. The entire car is a huge "WTF" for me because it's more BMW than a BMW is, and BMW is getting more Cadillac than Cadillac used to be.

As for the GTR, I can't get over my all wheel drive bias. No matter how great the numbers are, I don't like steering that is either dead, or has power messing with the steering. It's like playing a video game with no force feedback. If they made a rear wheel drive only version, I'd consider paying attention.

If I was going to spend 100 grand on a new vehicle right now, I'd be tempted to look for an old F355 or F360. If It HAD to be a brand new car, I'd get a Z06 and modify it.

But I'd much rather spend half that on an old 3.0CSL and hand it over to Korman and say "make it a monster" and end up with a 600hp sleeper that looks like sex.

I went through a hardcore japanese car phase. I just hate front wheel drive. I got my hands on a Trueno (for the same reason everyone else wanted an AE86, thank you Initial D) but it was just beat to hell and I started adding up what I'd need to fix it and it wasn't worth it. So I found a 240sx in awesome shape and started looking into doing an SR20DET conversion. So I'm talking to this guy offering an s14 front end clip with only 23,000 miles on it and I say "Hey, I have a question. Since I want to do the body swap too, how much for a whole damn car?". He shocked me by saying "4500". So sure enough, I picked up an entire JDM S14 for 4500 that had about 32,000 miles on it. Right hand drive. I went into the DMV to ask about how I'd register the 240sx because I hadn't done it yet, and I was going to modify it. The chick behind the counter misunderstood me and said "You'll have to register your japanese car as experimental" and handed me the form. I figured, why not try. It went through and I had the car registered in PA. Loved that car. It got totaled by a PennDOT plow while parked in Harrisburg a year later. Not sure what the guy was thinking. It was like he just went right for it.

It looked exactly like this:
