If I am being serious here, I do find it crazy that I have not seen anyone else vape except my wife (who I talked into vaping) and my friend (who I talked into vaping).

We went out last night, and as I picked a chair, I looked down the table, and there was a gal holding an eGo. I hollered at her and held up my ProVari, she about took the table out jumping up! It was a happy moment! Turned out, there were several other vapors in attendance. Our bartender also had one. Pretty awesome to be inside vaping away, whilst the smokers had to go outside. It was all of 21 last night, and we chuckled each time they went out!

I find your anecdote freakin' hilarious!!
I used to live in Milwaukee, WI and remember those cold and sometimes lonely forays outdoors for a smoke.
I wish I could see other vapers in the area where I live, none sighted yet....

Even tho I have yet to really see anyone vaping - a stranger that is - except for the one plume I saw in the movie theater, I hear about vapers all the time.

So something I find crazy about vaping is the stories of non acceptance I see on here but it seems that in my area, everyone knows about e cigs, accepts them, and even non, ex, and never smokers down right applaud them!

I have a fav sushi bar that has been my fav because they were one of the very few eating establishments in my town that still allowed smoking in the bar area. (I still enjoy a few smokes a day btw)

I went in for lunch today and there are several signs printed on bright red paper with the international sign for "no smoking". So I asked the bartender, "I see there is no more smoking, but is it ok if I use my electronic cigarette?" She's like, "Of course! We welcome e cigs! Good for you that you took that leap! Congrats! We almost have all of our employees switched over! Oooooh! Your's is so pretty! I love the lanyard, where'd ya get it?"

It's been close to the same where ever I have gone and asked if it was ok. The public places I have vaped openly without asking, mostly grocery stores, I have not had any problems.

+1. I've not seen one other person vaping when I'm out and about. Now, I've had plenty of looooooong stares from policemen when I'm driving and vaping. So far, none of them have stopped me to check out the strange black "cigarette" thing (Spinner & T3). Truth be told, I'd welcome the opportunity to do a little educating.

I didn't see my first e-cig until I was walking through a casino a few weeks ago. I saw a woman hunched over a slot machine puffing on what looked like a black cigarette, but with a ... blue(!?!?) light on the ash end. I remember thinking "what the hell did I just see?"

Three or four days of research later, I ordered my starter kit. The rest is history.

Everybody always assumes that I am holding a pen, so - Imagine, I totally get that.

The craziest thing for me is that the health issues are even being questioned compared to cigarettes... It boggles my mind to think that grown people with access to information actually believe that e cigarettes can be MORE HARMFUL than cigarettes.

It really gets me.

That is crazy!....the world is upside down....for years smokers have been made to feel like 2nd class citizens....we were dirtying up the air...we were ruining our health......now, there's something not only better, but healthier (my sinus problems have cleared up for goodness sake - I think it's the PG) who in their right mind would object??! Like, wow....who's crazy now?

And the pen thing.....I'll be at my computer, writing and concentrating....and bring the pen up to my mouth....yeah....(oops!).
