I am sorry to hear of these cases of really strong addiction. Aren’t vaping was born to fight addiction? I have no problems with a few hours long withdrawals. I never take my vaping gear when going for shopping, short (up to 6 hours) trips, etc. I do not want to be an addict. A few (12 is also “a few”) hours in an airplane are not a problem at all. Please, be polite, do not vape in planes.

I've carried mine on the plane in a pocket no worries. I just throw it in the bins when going through security. Last time I had a kayfun filled 75% and it did leak horribly. I did have it in a plastic baggie just in case. It all didn't leak out, maybe half. But other stuff is just bagged and left it in my carry on. They know what it is. Just make sure everything is locked or turned off.

You don't want an incident with baggage on fire like what happened at Logan airport in Boston earlier this month. Thank goodness it was caught before the baggage compartment was shut and the plane took off. Just use common sense and batteries protected in case or locked/turned off device.

Oh yeah I just realized I'm a bit off topic. Just vape in the bathroom and stealth it there. Not sure if the alarms can be triggered by clouds...I think they can. If the flight is under 4 hours I never really need to do this. Longer flights I sure would, in the bathroom and stealthing it and blowing my vapor into a bunch of tissue paper just to be careful.
