I pray for God to test my heart and let anything sinful bubble up. Also keep a prayer list in the kitchen on the fridge with people, places, and things to pray for. This practice has really helped me.

Thank you Silent Solution for sharing your awesome prayer tips... I'm going to start keeping a 'prayer list' on my fridge also as I have a tendency to misplace things.

Thank you, Chapel. We've all been there. More than once, twice and many times. I sometimes have underlying depression, but since I got on a different anti-depressant, it's not as bad as it once was, even though, my brain fog is worse on the one I'm taking now.....but I'm happier in my fog. WHAT???!!!!!! Yep, I said it .... it makes sense to me, anyway! As far as peace in your home, have you ever tried spiritual housekeeping? That's when people go through their house and rebuke in the Name of Jesus any entity and cast them into the abyss. God grants you Kingdom authority. Use it. Because, it starts out subtle...you hardly notice it. It then gets worse, to where there is unrest throughout your entire home. Then, if you're slow, like me, it doesn't penetrate the brain for awhile. Then all of a sudden, you go 'OHHHHHHHHHHHH.' Something else you can do. Use any kind of oil, pray over it, then annoint your home by placing a small drop on surfaces like door frames into and out of your home, and surfaces that are touched by everyone. Then, believe. Have faith...because "he who waits upon the Lord shall renew their strength. He will lift you up on wings of eagles; you can run and not grow weary, you can walk and not faint." :)

I have, In fact, done spiritual housekeeping. Had a friend and her husband help me do it. Problem is, I don't have that sixth sense to know/feel/see the enemy in my home directly.... I know I need to pray for that. But right know, I am just so worn and weary, it is hard to *want* more to be responsible for.

That might not make much sense, but that is how it is working for me right now. I need to draw closer to the Lord before I start asking for additional stuff. Working on that.
Tired, and rambling. Been a long day already and it is only 11am!

Blessed Chapeltown,

I am praying this Scripture will encourage you;

And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weaknesses; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27

Isn't it awesome that we have the wonderful promise that when we pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God?

I will be standing in agreement with you!

My God is a cosmic force. He/she/it doesn't grant wishes. IMO, Prayer is fine as a form of personal reflection. I can see the value there. But the notion that a man in the sky listens and answers ... well. To each his own.

Sent from my SM-T210R using Tapatalk

What is a cosmic force if not Energy and science has traced this Energy to the big bang all that we know and came from when time came into existence. This cosmic force as we call it can still be seen at work in our universe..

Man in the sky - nah.

Can an Energy that can be observed in motion that Created everything including man be able to hear His creation now.

I pray for God's healing for all that I know. Not my idea of healing, because I do not know God's will. I pray for the knowledge of His will and to be given the strength to carry it out. I pray for patience and compassion as I tend to be controlling and short tempered. I pray for an increased ability to 'see' God in my life and His loving support that always surrounds me.

    James 4:2
You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
    James 4:1-3 (in Context)

I do truly believe that if we know Scripture and the Lord, we sort of know His will. We do not have because we do not ask. Jesus said to ask for anything in His Name and it will be given. That Scripture is why in our prayers we end "In Jesus' Name, Amein." It hurts nothing to ask. If it's not in His plan for you, it's not going to happen. My father was too old and sick. I asked the Lord to take him home. I knew my mom was scared to die. I prayed for the Lord to come to her to take her home. She wouldn't be so scared if He came. He answered my prayer in a different way. The day before she died, she'd quit talking. That late afternoon, she spoke, with her eyes closed, "Thank You, God." Then she said 3 times as if she were in the Throne Room, "Ohhhhhhhh Jesus!" I know beyond a doubt that she saw Him. Jesus waited until I was standing there to let me know He was answering my prayer. I was in awe! Moms sitter was on the other side of the bed. There was a witness. On the Honor of Jesus, which I rarely do, I promise that happened.

We have not because we ask not. Start asking. There may not be an immediate answer, but you will get an answer of: yes, no, and wait. What do you think? :)

What a awesome testimony of your faith and being a witness to it; thanks for sharing it with us. I grew in faith a little more after reading your post.

    Testimony on pray.

Years back I use talk with a follow worker a little he and there on God thinking he was saved because he would say thank God, Glory to God and Etc. One day I had a over whelming desire out of the blue to asked him can we talk and we went into my office and I read to on nothing but how and what is Salvation even if I want to read other Scripture my mind went blank well after reading to him I asked him does he understand and he said yes then I ask could he tell me and he was right on the money. I ask the big question does he think he saved and he didn't know. I said you can be sure if we ask God right now this second he was kind like I don't know then I said why wait we can be sure if we ask now why put it off then we prayed together after that I asked him Are you saved he said yes, I said I you 100% sure the answer was a yes following week he past away at age 45 years old. As a witness I can be called on that he did accept the free gift of Salvation.

Thank God you listened to Him so that you could witness to him. You just never know about people when they seem to walk the walk and talk the talk. The Lord told you. But do we always listen? You were God's vessel that day. God knew the man was going to die soon. You were His vessel, to His Glory. An amazing story. Thank you for sharing, MM, and thank you for listening. We just never know whose lives we touch, but Jesus does. Expect a crown for that one....not that you even want one. I know. You were just obeying. That's why Jesus will give you a crown. You cannot out give God. That is the God we love and serve. Amein!

I just seen the thread topic title is not did but DO. -WHAT DO YOU PRAY FOR.

What I'm I blind how come I didn't see that before, I've posted what I did pray for in the past but that's not the question is it!

Being blind brought me to look up in my Bible concordance and only two verse could be found there and this one just seems like it should be posted here today.

"To open, blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house" ISAIAH 42,7
    .

Now I'll do it the right way here goes.

Father God, I pray for strangers I have never meet, I pray for children I've never held, I pray for everyone to find His Peace, starting today. I pray for those who have been fooled that there eyes are open to the truth that to see Life all around them to understand that that Life is what supplies all and every thing and that Life is God and turn from there wicked ways to the Righteousness of God for He Love's all His children and God is Filled with Love and Compassion, God will run to His son, embrace him, and kiss him. God will HEAR his son say to Him, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son. In the name of Jesus I send my prayers to my Father God.

    Then God will say!
“But his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began." Luke 15 verses 22 to 24

The Bible says to pray without ceasing. I don't often sit and bow my head to "formally" pray. I have always taken the command to pray without ceasing to mean that I should have a constant conversation with the Father. I pray in my head all the time. When I have done wrong, or when I am in pain, or when I know of people that are in need of prayer. My Father knows my heart, He can hear me all the time. I constantly find myself saying, "sorry Lord, help me do better" or " please help me through this" or "I am in pain, please heal me". etc. I tend to pray in the car a lot when I am driving. I don't use "big words" or flowery language. I converse with him like He is my best friend, which He should be for all Christians. As a Christian I consider it my most sacred honor that I get to talk to God and that He hears me and ALWAYS answers. My mother used to tell me all the time, God always answers our prayers. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes the answer is no (God knows so much better than me, and He knows if what I am praying for is what is truly best), and sometimes the answer is wait. The Bible says that we are not to be like the Pharisees and pray to be heard by men, my prayers are private conversations in my head and in my heart with my Father and I know He hears my simple words and will answer with what is best for me.

This is so beautiful, and this too is my answer as this is exactly HOW I pray to Abba Father also.... constantly, without ceasing.... everyday, every hour, every minute most times, my Mind and Heart are stayed (fixed) on Him.

Welcome to the board, MissyG! We hope you stay and fellowship with us!

Prayer is nothing but conversation with God the Father in the Name of Jesus. It's like picking up your phone and never getting put on hold. As long as we stay completely respectful we can pray about anything. God already knows what's going on in our lives, so we can't shock Him, but, as I already stated, keep it respectful. You're right, MissyG, it's a privilege to be able to talk to the Creator of everything! Amein!

Thank you for having me. I was just reading through the sub forums and stumbled across this one! Glad to talk to some folks that I not only have vaping in common with, but also have love and belief in my Father God and his son Jesus. Vapers in my area often tend to be a community that are a little more "alternative" not in a sexual orientation kind of way, but people that might be labeled in the "freaks and geeks" category. Many of these vapers definitely to not profess to be Christians. I know a few, but not many. I love my vaping community though, both in "real life" and on this board, I have found nothing but kindness and generosity. I do not have a lot of money to spend on vaping because I am on disability. Many vapers have gifted me with juice and some other vape gear. I am dying to upgrade because I just just evod batteries and aspire bdc clearos but saving is slow when you only get your check once month. (Dying for the Vaporshark DNA 30, I have neuropathy and carpal tunnel so I need super lightweight mods). So, even though many vapers are not Christians, I have found them to be full of kindness and charity. Though that is true, it is also wonderful to find a group of people that are not only vapers, but Christians as well, who should be the epitome of kind, loving, and generous....if that is true, then I KNOW this group of people is a great group, because I don't know how most of the vapers I have met on ECF could get much better!

I still use my Joye 510 that I started with 4 years ago. Parts are cheap and since I am on disabiity as well, I have tweaked my juices and am a happy camper with what I do. Since I am home most of the time, I rejuice often. Doesn't bother me in the least. It's a great deal better than paying $95/for 2 cartons every 8 days. I can't believe I smoked that much. For me, it's not so much the money as it was the amount of cigarettes I was consuming. That's one bad habit I won't be repeating! Everyone has to speak for themselves. I am only accountable for me. But it really is cool when I can check a box - 'non-smoker.'

Just jump in, fellowship, pray, and praise with us!!! Again, welcome to the board! :)

Happy Lord's Day everyone! (At least it is for me in my time zone) Just got back from a movie with my husband which is great because we don't see each other a lot. When I got sick (long story here is the link to my intro that explains a lot of it: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...51-introduction-vaping-journey-explained.html) I had to move in with my parents because I needed full time care. I was in a wheelchair and had a PICC line and there was no way I could be home by myself while my husband was at work. That was 3 years ago. The time apart was a huge strain on my marriage and back in October my husband asked for a divorce. I was NOT going to let that happen to my marriage of 15 years and I refused. I have loved this man since I was 16 years old and I was not going to give up on him or us. We did not speak or see each other until Christmas. Since we do not have children we had always had a tradition of going out to eat on Christmas Eve, going to a movie, and then staying up till midnight and then opening our gifts. We would then go celebrate with my parents on Christmas Day and open gifts over there. The thought of that tradition not happening for the first time in 16 years devastated me, but to my surprise he asked me to dinner and a movie. Since then we have slowly been working on things and he says he no longer wants a divorce, but I am still at my parents' house. We are making progress but one very sad result of our separation is that he no longer comes to church. He became a Christian while we were dating and the fact that he has fallen away makes me so sad, I pray for his restoration and hope as we continue to work on our marriage that he will be restored. I would really appreciate you guys praying in agreement with me for his restoration, his name is Danny.

Another very happy surprise is that he took me to our favorite b&m tonight and surprised me with an early birthday gift (my bday is July 18) he gave me the rest of the money I would need to buy an HCigar DNA 20 mini! He and I started vaping around the same time, he smoked a pack of black and mild cigars a day. Recently he had bought himself a Hades mod and last week he got his first dripper. Our finances are currently still separate and he actually does not have a ton of extra spending money himself so I was very excited and happy he chipped in for me. I decided on the DNA 20 because it is very small and light and I saw a lot of people having trouble with their Vaporsharks and this one is also 70 bucks cheaper. I also was just given a Kanger Aerotank from a friend so I am even more excited. I am on the look out for a beauty ring for it now, my friend could not find it and it will not fire on the DNA 20 without an adapter and it looks crazy on the DNA screwed on the adapter, so if any kind person has a beauty ring for an Aerotank you don't want I wouldn't mind if you dropped it in an envelope for me. :D

Anyway, I am thanking and praising God that my husband is willing to work on our marriage and praying that he will be restored to the church. Sorry for my long ramble, I really need to go to bed, I like to get a good night's sleep on Saturdays to be fresh for worship in the morning, but I wanted to give thanks and praise on the board tonight and ask for prayers, both for Danny and for our marriage.

God bless everyone and enjoy your Lord's day!
