I don't get these comments about the condom method being messy. I've been doing it this way for all my cartos without any mess. Anyway you fill you are still going to have to clean the treads with a paper towel so as not to get juice in the battery connection. If I have any juice remaining in the condom when carto is full then I just pour it back into the juice bottle. No mess and not fuss. It's simple and you can be sure that the bottom of the carto is saturated. Using a syringe is a pain and usually leaks juice out the bottom before the carto is full. So what's the problem?

We're talking about the juice on the outside of the cartomizer, not around the battery connection. It's not a problem, just personal preference I guess. As long as you get it in there and can vape, it's all good.

Yes, I don't like the whole outside of the carto getting soaked, and I usually don't have to wipe off the threads either. Sometimes a little drips out the bottom, but I put it in a condom for the first fill (on threaded end) and that catches whatever extra comes out, then I just toss that. The times I've tried the condom fill, it gets all over the side of the carto, sometimes pushes up over the side of the carto. Yech!

I like the condom method, ESPECIALLY the first carto fill. It takes quite a while to fully load via dripping. Once a carto has been used, I do sometimes just top it off by dripping.

I also like the condum fill method--some condums are a little bigger than others--I use the bigger ones, and slowly insert the battery end into the juice in the condum and force fill until I see the juice bubble up on top of filler. Then pull slowly back out---most of the time the suction pulls all the juice off the outside of the carto and off the battery end. Blow out thru battery end and it is good to go. I have never had a mess or wasted juice with this method. And it is fast and easy.

You fill through the battery end?

Yep I do--that way I can see when the filler end is saturated. (end cap removed first and replaced with drip tip after filling). Has been working like a charm for me for 8 months. And I believe I still have "functional eyes versus ornamental eyes." (never heard poor vision put like that before)

I love when I find out after 5 months that I've been doing something completely wrong. That is so typical.

As long as the end result is the same, it's all good! I think I saw someone on a youtube video doing it from the battery end so I tried it and it worked good. I add some drops to the top too, maybe this was started because some of the pre-filled cartos don't have a top that comes off?
