I just received a Joye 510 and a KR808d-1. So far both my girlfriend and I MUCH prefer the 510. I'm a noob though and I'm not sure on a couple things. Were still trying to decide which e-cig to use so I have a few questions.

I ordered the 510 from Vapor Kings - DSE801, DSE901, Joye510 and KR808D-1 e-Cigarette supplies and everything was perfect. I ordered 2 types of blank cartomizers. The BOGE 510 WITH THE ALUMINUM/SILVER CONNECTOR AND RUBBER END CAP and the SLB (SAILEBAO) TYPE WITH THE BRASS CONNECTOR - THEY FEATURE A RUBBER END CAP. Using the "condom" refill method I put some Simply Strawberry juice from Johnson Creek in both cartomizers to test the difference. So far I haven't been able to tell a big difference but the Boge is definitely louder and seems to have slightly more taste.

I also ordered the KR808D-1 from Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives and I must say, there have many multiple issues with the order. Hopefully they will get worked out and I'm working with customer service to resolve the issues. I ordered 1 pack of the Vapor King Blank Cartomizers (Pack of 5). This unit is much louder and bigger than the 510. It produces SIGNIFICANTLY less vapor. Probably about a half. However, the throat hit (which is actually don't like much) is very strong.

As far as battery life, I haven't had enough time to test both products, but each one seems sufficient enough for my needs. I will be getting a PCC so any issues should be taken care of with that.

I do have a few questions. Is my initial comparison of these products pretty accurate? I'm not sure how much of the performance is determined by the cartomizers so I don't really know how to gauge the batteries very well. What is your opinion of the cartomizers I got for the KR808d-1? Are they comparable to the 510 cartomizers I ordered?

So far I'm leaning very heavily toward the 510. Any opinions on my "review" is greatly appreciated! Thanks and happy vaping!

you can use the kr808d-1 withe the 510 and vice versa if you get a thread adpator. most adpators are listed battery end first. so to use a kr808d-1 catro on a 510 battery get a 510 to kr808d-1 adpator. to use 510 cartos / atty on a kr808d-1 battery get a kr808d-1 to 510 apdator.

Seems like V4L has had a shakeup in there staff and there has been a lot of issues with orders lately. Hopefully they will get it sorted out soon.

Using a 510 and then an eGo I've personally found the Boge cartos's superior to the SLB's. The Boge's do produce more flavor IMO. The SLB's perform very poorly after cleaning no matter which method I've used. The Boge's generally survive cleaning while yielding decent performance but rarely like new. Choosing strictly between the two I'll choose the Boge's hands down. However, after trying the eGo mega carto's and finding them to be mostly garbage I moved on to the yet-to-be-perfected E2's and love them after modding with ptb. I've yet to try any of the new Joye 510 carto's but hve heard very goo reviews here. Lotsa stuff to try out and choose from.

between here and there
I have and use both currently. Am interchanging the carts with the mods mentioned in one of the replys above. Just this weekend I received both Joye egos 650 and 900 batterys and also a ego 650 passthrough. I love the 650's. Just the thing I needed. The 950 reminds me of a small cigar, in that it is fat and too big for my hands. If you can get past the filling of the cartomizers with a syringe(royal pain) then you can vape hours and hours. Just be sure to put a flavor in it that you are comfortable with vaping that long. I am still using all my stuff and am quickly becoming a vapor junkie. Wish I had found these years ago, maybe I would not have over 30 years of analogs. But the good news is I am feeling great again. Love this vaping.
Good luck.

As you can see from my signature, I've started with 808 and moved to 510.
Vapor production and flavor are much better on 510 in my experience.

Another great thing about 510: LR (low resistance) cartomizers and atomizers - those produce absolutely amazing vapor and flavor. But you need a bigger battery to use LR cartomizers or atomizers.

If you will decide to buy new stuff, it's always better to use this forum suppliers and its always good to check this part of forum for promotions: E Cigarette Suppliers Forum

Right now one of the suppliers has a great promotion here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/123813-29-99-riva-510-riva-901-kits-2-99-shipping-20-off-all-stock.html
I would recommend to get one 510 Riva - you can't go wrong with 29.99. They promised to restock soon.

My favorite LR cartomizers are here: http://shop.nhaler.com/NEW-510-Mega-Low-Resistance-Cartomizers-510meglr.htm - they are not cheap, but work great.
And try to keep away from cartomizers by Bauway - I tried them once and they ware absolutely terrible.

whats the difference between the riva 510 and the Joye 510?

Someone please correct me if I am wrong. The 510 (which I have) uses a smaller battery. The Riva is about the same as of the EGO which uses a 650 mah or larger battery which equates to more and stronger vaping (better battery life) with less battery recharging.

Yes, that's correct.
Riva's battery is 750mah, while regular Joye510 is 180mah

I've been using the kr808d-1 and the joye 510 for about 3 days now. My girlfriend and I have decided on the 510 and placed an order with cignot.com (GREAT SITE). She really wanted pink and purple colors for the 510 and that was the only site we were able to find those colors. The battery life has not been an issue for us and we really like the small size. I noticed the DSE-901 looks very much like the 510. Whats the difference between the joye 510 and the DSE-901?

One recommendation I would make is to look for a kr808 battery to 510 atty/carto connector. This way you can use your 510 atty's/ cartos with an 808 battery which would give you longer between charges than a 510 battery and cost you less than $5. An Ego/Hello016/Riva would give you better battery life, but would cost around $20 each per battery and you would have to buy a new charger. You could still use your 510 attys or 510 cartos with these batteries.
