What Do You Use at Work?

I have been on vacation for the holiday and I quit smoking while I was away from the office. I have a strange question. What should I take with me to work? I originally purchased an njoy NPro and then upgraded to a Joye 510. the 510 would be perfect ..... but it leaks. The NPro would also be perfect, but it doesn't have enough "punch" (TH and vapor) now that I am used to the 510. This probably seems trivial, but it has me totally perplexed......I'm okay with leakage and vials at home, but I am not okay with it at work. I'm assuming others have figured out something that works well in an office environment - reasonably discrete, easily portable, and "no fuss". If so, any suggestions would be very much appreciated - Happy New Year!!!!!

I would take the 510. If you're having problems with leaking carts, you might be overfilling them. I used to take my eGo to work all the time until I got my mod. Now the mod comes to work and the eGo does back-up duty. The people in my office have been incredibly supportive and allow me to vape at my desk. They'd rather have me do that than go outside and come back in smelling like an ashtray. It's also increased my productivity since I don't have to leave my desk to smoke. I still go outside when it's nice once in a while just so I can get away from the phone and the computer.

Work? What's that? Is that those thingies I keep hearing about that suck up more than 8 hours of your day, keeping you from lurking here on ECF?

I'm a college student, have been for 5 years now, currently working on a Masters degree. My job of 22 years got sent overseas in 2005. I've vaped in class lots of times with an eGo. If you learn how to stealth vape no one knows. If you want to be more discreet, try putting a pen cap on the end of your 510 so when it's in your hand people don't even think twice about it, and it covers the light. If you've got a PCC you'll have portable charging and an extra battery along with storage for a few carto's. 3 filled carto's should last an entire work day.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and help!!

You could get an 808 or some cartomizers for your 510.

My biggest concern has been that the 501 leaks - this could ruin my dress clothes, I would have to carry a cloth with me, etc. I do not have any 501 cartomizers. Do they leak the same way the atomizer/cart combination does? Or are they better?

I use the eGo passthrough/battery (has detachable mini usb, serves as both) that I mainly use at work. Great battery life and has a nosecone that pretty much hides any overflow. 510 carts, cartos, and attys can be used with the eGo since it is just an oversized 510 battery. I also use a joye 510 with cartos (cartomizers) and a pcc. Lasts all day that way. The cartos I use are soft tip blanks so I can put my own flavors in. The cap comes off for easy refill. Im starting to sound like a broken record with this, but I posted a video in the e-cig video review section...I think its listed as "for newbies, by a newbie eGo + 510". I have only been messing with vaping for about a week now and did a LOT of researching before buying. Hope this helps!!

Thanks, again. Many people are mentioning the eGo, but I have 2 concerns - it is much larger, making it less discrete. It also uses the same cart and atty, so I'm assuming it leaks also? Just to clarify, my 501 does not leak when it is sealed with the silicone "condom". However, when I attach it to the battery it will eventually leak (1) at the seal where the cart and atty come together and (2) at the seal where the atty and the battery come together. I'm hopeful that the cartomizers will not leak at all. I guess I will get some and see.

The eGo isn't that large...and I'm petite, so it would be an issue if it was. I use it with Boge 510 2ohm cartomizers, making it a 2 piece, then it has a cone that screws down over the battery/carto connection, so if some juice does leak, it stays in the cone. I carry it in my pocket, in my purse, and around my neck without leakage.

I have never actually seen one in person - only pictures and videos. I need to try and get my hands on one in person to see what it is like! I am very curious try one - they seem (to me) to be the clear favorite on the forum. But since I've already invested in the 510, I was hoping to find something that would make it "workable". I just looked up the Boge cartomizers, and they look perfect!

Boge 2 ohm cartos on a Riva 510 -- carry them in my pocket at work, zero leaks noticed so far. Otherwise the 808 w/cartos.

As a desk jockey I also use a passthrough running off of a 2A USB power supply.

Carto + 6 ml bottle of juice fits in little Walmart ziploc bag, either 2x3 or 3x4 inch ones.

The eGo (or Riva) is just a 510 with a somewhat bigger battery and a "cone" that screws into the battery and transitions from the smaller diameter 510 atty & cart. It lasts 6-8 hours, and you can still use all the rest of your 510 attys & carts. Unfortunately, you can't use the 2ohm cartos (superior throat hit/heat) on the regular 510 battery. They'll burn it out. You can use the 3ohm ones, or just go ahead and add an eGo kit into your collection. :)

Both the 510 and the 808 can fit into their own carrying case. You can pick them up at any of the vape stores online. An added benefit, it's a charging case as well, so you always have a charged battery. I vape at my desk, I have a really supportive boss (who also vapes ;)) But, ladies usually vape in the bathroom, and when I *need* to be stealthy, I can cover my led end with my hand, draw in a puff, hold it for several seconds, and pretty much nothing comes out on the exhale.
Yes, I fill my carto at my desk, and I keep a paper towel handy for just in case of spills or leaks.
