What does it mean when you hear no vaporizing sounds but still get good hits?

In this case it's a Kanger evod. I don't feel quite as satisfied without the sounds.

I do get sounds when I turn the voltage high and draw really slowly, but then it gets too hot for my liking.

Dunno, but I've been mildly curious too. Sometimes my Evods burn and crackle, other times not so much. As long as I'm getting good vapor and I'm not hearing the dreaded gurgle, all is good in my book.

I've been experimenting the last few days just out of curiousity, though, and I think thicker/darker liquids may be less likely to sizzle on the burner - for example I filled an Evod with a dark brown coffee liquid today and it's been completely silent through 1/4 tank...

If I don't hear something as soon as I press the button I immediately check to see if it got switched off or if the atomizer has failed... the sound is important. I have vaped when it would not make any noise and sometimes its not working right - sometimes it is but I have had a tendency to retire the ones that stop making at least a little noise, I just don't feel like they are working right without a little bit of a 'hiss'.

When my Evod or T3S stops making noise, it seems like the coil is starting to flood. If I hold it horizontally, so that the wicks don’t have juice around them, and take a couple of hits, it will usually start popping again.
