It's November, and I live in rural North Dakota. My mailbox is way out by the road and I can't always get out there every day. I did a search here and saw lots of conflicting information about what happens to flavored juice when it freezes.

So, does anyone have actual experience, good or bad, about what will happen when (not if) an order of juice freezes? I'm assuming that I'll need to thaw it slowly and shake well before I use it, but would there be any serious damage done?

Not only am I unable to afford to buy a whole winter's worth in advance, I'm still new enough at this that I'm still trying to find different flavors I like. There also aren't a lot of B&M stores handy. Any information and/or advice appreciated. You guys have been so helpful so far. (I know I could branch out to the other forums now but this seems to be the most helpful so far, and gets the fastest responses.);)

I didn't think that the base would freeze, just wondering if there would be any problems with flavors or separation. I'd love to get out to the mailbox every day, but it just doesn't work out that way. One of the many reasons I like UPS or FedEx better. They bring things to the door. Unfortunately I can see why sellers use the PO for small things.

Hi Amoret! Absolutely nothing bad happens--especially with short-term freeze. But even long-term freezing is OK, per our resident chemist and DIY guru, Kurt.

That said, I cannot see any harm in freezing flavored juices. If they separate, and I doubt they will as I think about it, just shake them up when they get to room temperature. It's just not something I have done as yet. Might be good for those buying commercial juices, however, if they do not want to fall down this DIY rabbit hole.

Happy vaping!

What about leaving juice in your car during the day in your favorite tank, would there be any possibility of it freezing and busting the tank?

PG freezes at -59 deg C. VG at -37 deg C. I don't think you have much to worry about. Even if it did freeze, it wouldn't hurt your tank :thumb:

ok, I couldn't stand it anymore (lol) so I put a 5ml bottle of 6mg nic liquid in my freezer overnight (not sure of ratio, but probably 70/30 or 80/20 pg/vg liquid. bought from a vendor)

it did not freeze solid, but it did get thick and didn't want to come out of the bottle for a while. I didn't see any separation. it was a liquid I don't like so not sure if it affected taste

If it does freeze (highly unlikely) or get cold worst case scenario is you open the bottle while cold and allow warm air to condense inside- Keep bottle capped until it reaches room temp. When you're talking about juice in a hot mailbox the middle of Summer= not a good thing.

Right! I would worry about my juice simmering in 100+ deg mailbox for days. Freezing is not a problem, overheating is.
