I just submitted this to Urban Dictionary. We wouldn't want other people to be confused. :)

provarinati

A ProVari owner. One who has embraced the accusation of being a member of a "cult-like" group. Uses as a catchphrase the Latin "Lumen sees Totus." or in the words of PBusardo..."Now I get it."

example:
"She's a charter member of the Provarinati, and owns eight ProVari's...and now she's thinking about buying one of the new ZenKote ProVari's."

It cracks me up too cuz haters act like its a huge deal to press a button.

I'm actually wondering how I'm going to manage once I get my DNA30 device(s) since I've only ever had to press one button...

Damn, I just jinxed myself because all I can think now is: up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-A-B-Start. (I'm not even sure if that's the right NES cheat code)

I tried looking this up but I've not found anything.

What does Provarinati mean and how is it pronounced?

thanks!

I'm glad you asked the question & I'm glad I read this thread. I had it all wrong.

I figured it was a play on the illuminati. But I never associated illuminati with the occult. They were "enlightened" scientist who got to the "truth" about why things are & how they worked, in a time when the Church discouraged such talks. Nothing occult about them, not scientist like alchemist... more "enlightened"

Over the years, the word has come to mean "elite" & the connotation is more like "those who think they're elite, but not" So I figured the Provarinati was at one time a jab someone made to these Provari owners who make like everything else is junk. There are so many threads here with that basic train of thought... but I figured one of the original Provarinati latched onto it & turned the insult into a badge of honor.

It's kinda cool though... everything but that "stuck up" part.

It was a play on the Illuminati, and it was a jab at the Cult-like ProVari members. Eddardinwinter coined the phrase when he referred to ProVari owners. he was at the time a proud Evic owner. The Ocelot took the idea and ran with it, and Eddard ended up getting a ProVari shortly afterwards.

PBusardo starts his ProVari review video cloaked (with a towel) and chanting in pseudo-Latin (mocking the idea that ProVari owners are a cult) He said, "Now I get it." That phrase the Provarinati claimed and loosely translated it into Latin, which is why you see "Lumen Sees Totus" posted from time to time.

Hey, wait, you changed your avatar!?!?!? Forgive me but I can't figure out what it is.......

Shortly before Opus purchased his ProVari, he spent a goodly amount of money on an E-LVT mod, which is supposedly "waterproof." As part of his review, he decided to stress test it. In his toilet. It spewed bubbles and never worked after that. Well, at least until he dried it out. It worked fine after that. It's a rather fun read.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-waterproof-mod-part-1-a.html?highlight=e-lvt

He left off the important bit though:
"Micro sub E-LVT-1 preparing to surface, sir! We are happy to report that the toilet is not clogged."
