Pretty much depends on how much you want to spend and what you are looking for.

If you want something simple, that won't cost too much and won't be bulky I suggest you look at rolandpibb's post.
Rolandpibb's post

If you are willing to dish out more cash, you want great performance, and don't mind esthetics then I am sure most users on here will recommend going for a mod.

As far as LR/HR is concerned it is referring to the resistance. LR = low resistance, HR = High resistance.

LR's should only be used on lower voltage E-cigs, will last shorter (life expectancy) but will give your more vapor(Similar to smoke) and more TH (Throath hit, or the burning sensation you feel in your throath) and more flavor (at least some claim). They will burn through liquid faster also.

HR's should be used on higher voltage E-cigs like MODS (modifications, essentially the battery part). They will last longer on these devices than standard atomizers. At 5-6 volt you will get more flavor with most liquids, more throat hit , more heat and sometimes more vapor (depends on the atomizer). Mods and these atomizers are also generally more durable.

As far as buying from Canada goes, you can actually buy from the US. The only thing is that you can't buy nicotine liquids or nicotine filled carts. I would also recommend not buying carts that are filled with liquid without nicotine in them, since the agents at the border might think they do contain some, and might have them tested. Some people are able to buy nicotine liquids or carts and have them shipped using a personal address instead of a company address. But you always have the chance of being one of the unlucky ones and have your shipment kept at customs. If you are buying empty carts, atomizers or the batteries (Mods) you shouldn't have a problem, except maybe a slight delay if they pick your package as a random check.

Now I ain't the most experienced vaper, since I just started vaping again after a full year of not vaping. This is info I have collected in the last few days. I am sure more experienced members will be able to fill you in.

I cant agree with the HV always giving more flavor, some, a lot, of juices really shine at a reg 3.4-3.7 on a reg ohm Atty or even an LR. It is probably best to start out with a nice 650-1000 mAh Ego/Riva unit, grab some good LR-510 Atty's along with a couple of drip tips and you would be surprised how much more vapor you get than your smokestik, I have one, actually 6, there not that bad for a small unit as far as that type goes.

If you want to step up to a Mod, there are some very good ones, Phideas, Reo grand, VV Ali, these would be your top of the line feeder type PV's then you have your Darwin and Provari which are top of the line VV non feeders, personally I find the top of the line feeder Mods the best vapes.!

In God's honest truth. Get yourself a decent 3.7V device. One without proprietary batteries and you're set. Get yourself a couple of LR atties and vamoos from the forum for 6 months. Forget about the rest of the hype and BS because 6 months down the road, you will have come full circle, and be vaping around 3.7 to 4.2V and 6-8 watts.

guess im one of the last 6v vapers around.lol. take some time and do some research,it will save you money in the long run.

Oh no farm, I still toot HV for fixes but find greater pleasure at 2.2Ohm and 3.7V. It does indeed seem that after we go through our normal withdrawals the sweet spot falls in around 4.2-4.5V.
