My dear husband of 23 years is battling colon cancer, and I'd just love to spoil the stuffin' out of him. He used to smoke a pipe (for decades!) but gave it up when he witnessed his brother-in-law suffering from emphysema. Nothin' like watching a guy strapped to an air tank to bring reality home. :(

Anyhow - I've decided to get him a DSE601 because he wouldn't like the lack of a curve in the stems of the other available epipes. But - I haven't the foggiest what type of eliquid to get for it. I DIY all of my liquid, but I'd like to find a zero nic liquid with the right flavoring for a pipe to start him off with. It would have to be zero nic.

Any ePipe users out there with suggestions? I'd sure appreciate it any input.

TW's 'french pipe' is a really tasty treat. If I were to attempt a DIY version I'd go with liquidxpress' "original" tobacco flavor and while you're at liquidxpress, pick up some of Walrus' Peach or l/xpress' peach flavoring. It needs some 'smoke' to it so either the Taboo there or RY4 no nic from Happy Vapors. I'd put this in a base of Ecopure Rich for the vapor at whatever nic level you wanted. Many other ways but I'd try that one first. Maybe a drop or two of Capela's vanilla custard. :) But you might want to try out a 5ml sampler or TW's french pipe first.

Other possibles is liquidxpress' 'cherry pipe tobacco' and their flu cured is good.

I can't recommend any specific liquids as I also do all mine DIY but I can tell you that the flavor can be a little lacking in my 601. If you are mixing yourself, then no problem, just mix about 1.5 to 2x as strong as usual. If you are buying from a vendor you might want to see if they have any double or extra flavor versions of their juice or be ready to punch it up a bit with your own flavorings.

I can say the 601 feels great though if you are used to a pipe. I'm sure he will love it.

My favorites for my Ruyan pipe are Liquid Xpress's Cherry Pipe Tobacco and E-Liquid Planet's new Essence ELP-cigar-1.

[edit] Don't know about 0-nic availability though...

[edit again] LX does sell the Cherry Pipe flavoring though, so you could make your own 0 nic

Walrus,

Did you get ELP-cigar-1 and cigar-2? If so what would you say the difference is? Also... just got some of your Peach Cobbler!! luscious vape. JustJulie helped me find the way on that one. Goes well with LX original flavoring too.

ar eyou asking what company make the best consistancy for an e-pipe? or which makes the best pipe flavor?
Well, I was looking for any/all advice in regards to eliquid in a pipe. Thanks to all of you, I now know what flavors he might like and the fact that they may be a bit weak in the 601.

So - I purchased: French Pipe, Flue-Cured, Taboo, Cherry Pipe, some doublers, and I'm about to go buy some Pecan Pie. I figure that I can add that to some Custom tobacco eliquid to hopefully make this a perfect experience for him.

THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE!

My first order was just cigar-1. I've got some cigar-2 coming. I didn't jump on it right away because I have the LX Cherry Pipe, and I figure it's similar.

Where the cigar-1 is tobacco with vanilla, the cigar-2 is tobacco with cherry.

Glad you like the PC... I'm surprised Julie shared the info. She hoards the stuff :)

The key to getting better flavor from the 601 (or Ruyan for that matter) is to get the atty warm with a few primer puffs first, then a good deep inhale. Much like smoking a real pipe, IMO.

Puff, puff, puff, inhale.

THE BEST all day vape I've been able to find is Liquidxpress.com's CHERRY PIPE FLAVORING mixed with any good TOBACCO eliquid. I mix Totally Wicked.com's Tobacco ELIQUID 50/50 with the cherry pipe FLAVORING. (To taste) - Or you can find at Liquidxpress.com - the Eliquid called cherry pipe tobacco also. He will love it. Has a musky pipe taste with just the right amount of cherry flavor tobacco taste. I just bought another 60mls of the flavoring. Will try the eliquid called the same one day too.
