What else should I invest in?

After initially purchasing a e-health cig that died the very same day and tasted like dirt while it worked I was convinced enough to try again. I purchased two Joye 510s along with Marlboro and Camel flavored e juice. Much better. I actually have begun to crave that slightly sweet flavor.

As of today I purchased a USB passthrough as I have a usb adapter for my car lighter (I'm on the road a lot. And I do mean a lot).

So my question is...am I done? At least for a few months? Or do I need to go ahead and get a PCC, a car charger, extra atomizers and batteries?

My new years resolution is to be tobacco free and it ain't gonna happen if what I have dies on me all of a sudden. I don't smoke in the evenings or on weekends, but when I'm driving (I cover all of west Texas and New Mexico) I chain smoke to point of nausea.

Thanks

Welcome to ECF, badanoff! And hats off to you for sticking with it after that initial frustrating experience.

Well, you will never be "done" purchasing e-liquid, of course. I'm sure you've seen the level dropping in your bottles of Marlboro and Camel. And atomizers and batteries don't last forever, either. But you can get those as you need them. [Having one additional each as a back-up is not a bad idea.] And that passthrough probably will break down at some point.

On replenishable items like that, I ask myself: "What will I do if this dies?" If it won't be a hardship for me to wait until a replacement is delivered (typically two to three days with U.S. suppliers), I usually hold off. Otherwise...

Therefore, I would want at least one extra battery and, perhaps, an extra atomizer. From what you state, however, that passthrough may be more important to you than batteries.

As for accessories like a PCC, that depends on your lifestyle. You've shared an important aspect of that. But how much time do you spend away from your car and away from a USB port and AC outlet (to charge your batteries)? If for a few hours, then a PCC could come in handy to charge one battery while you're vaping the other. Or you may choose to skip that and go straight to a high-mAh mod. [mAh = milliamp hours, i.e., puffs per battery charge.]

If you always use your passthrough when you are in the car, then you may not need a car charger. But, if you sometimes vape with your batteries in the car and you don't buy a PCC, then a car charger would be helpful.

One piece of advice (the preceding really was just asking you Socratic questions:cool:): Don't buy too much too fast. This may not be your final choice in a personal vaporizer. And you need to save some of your money to try out different e-liquid flavors. Marlboro and Camel are a good starting point but there is so much to choose from.

Enjoy your road vaping!

Being in the car a lot, you should really consider adding cartomizers to your routine. A well filled cartomizer can last you over two hours. I recommend getting blanks and filling them but you might want to try out prefilled - they're more expensive than juice but in an emergency it wouldn't be a bad idea to have some around and just in my experience, ymmv, the better flavored ones are at Vapor4Life and they have a large selection. But on using and filling blanks - you could load some up for a road trip.... see this answer to an earlier question:

My advice on other items is basically this - you can never have enough atomizers and if you're going to buy batteries for the 510, invest in the mega batteries available at TW, Janty, heaven gifts, eastmall and healthcabin. They last @2x the time of the regular 510 battery. And for juice - get cheap sample bottles 3, 5, 6ml until you find the ones you really like and look for that to perhaps change after a few months. Keep sampling and then when you find some that you can say you'd vape these for eternity ;-) then stock up.

A Bartleby or a do it yourself nicostick is an inexpensive way to get more peak voltage (and vapor and flavor in some flavors) and longer battery life - up to a day + without recharging, pretty much eliminating the need for a PCC. The other mods with higher voltage are good if throat hit is a major consideration. They offer more vapor as well but so do the one's mentioned.
