What glass tank would you guys recommend for use with an EGO battery?

My current setup:

  • EGO 1000 C-Twist battery
  • iClear 16 tank with replaceable atomizers(2.1 ohms)
There are plenty of flavors that melt through the plastic tank, so I am looking to get a glass tank so I can use those liquids.
I do not want a giant tank that is way wider than the battery, if possible.

What I want:

  • Glass tank that uses replaceable atomizers (so liquids can't melt through the tank)
I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on a tank, but I do want something better than what I'm currently using.
So, what tanks would you guys recommend for use with the EGO batteries? I'm quite curious.

Thanks!

I'd go with a Mini Protank 2 or a full sized Protank 2. Replaceable and rebuildable heads, great flavors and ZERO cracking. I started with iClear 16s too, and still have them in my rotation, but for my favorite juices, I use the Protanks. With a few tweaks (if needed) the Protanks are really good, especially when you learn how to rebuild them. Good luck!

A 15 mm IBTanked will be the same diameter as your eGo battery. Below is an IBTanked 15mm halfling cartotank on a Smoktech Gripper.

Below is a 19 mm IBTanked on a Ego Vision Spinner battery.

So, I'm liking the Mini Protank 2! You used the same setup I'm using. What differences did you notice when switching from the iClear 16's to the Mini Protank 2? For example, does it leak liquid from the mouth piece? Is the flavor better or a lot better from this tank then iClear 16?

Also, what tweaks have you done to the Protank?

You want to remove the tank from the battery so you don't pocket it and snap your ego in half like I did 2.5 weeks ago. I put mine in a pocket and then crouched down to get something and I literally felt the thing snap. It popped the head off of the ego and broke one of the wires that go to the chip. Way too small for me to try and repair so I had to go to Kansas City (75 miles) for a replacement. I guess I could have bought one here in Topeka but I hate getting robbed. And I personally feel that $30 for one of the 900 mah no name ego-t in a blister packs is robbery.

As far as small form factor glass tanks. mini protank2, aspire et-s, davide mini, smoktech aro pyrex (make sure it is the pyrex version), Ruigu r380, I have heard there is a mini vivi nova in pyrex as well But I have not seen it. Most of these are bottom coil and the Aspire is a dual bottom coil. The vivi nova is the only top coil. I will have in my possession, all but the vivi nova this week. Although I will have a polycarbonate mini vivi nova and I cannot imagine the performance will be much different.

I found a good place to buy the Mini Protank 2 from. However, it comes with two 2.5 ohms coils. That means I would need to turn the voltage on my EGO to 3.9, according to Kangers chart. Would this make the flavor worse? What would happen if I turned the voltage down below the recommended 3.9 stats? Should I just order lower ohms coils so I can keep the voltage down on my EGO. The max on my EGO is 4.8 volts.

I have the mini protank.... I've used 1.8, 2.2, and 2.5 ohm heads.... the only difference I notice among them, using the recommended voltages is the lower ohm heads offer longer battery life....
I haven't had any issues with keeping it on the battery in my pocket, but I'm used to having full pockets.... but I'm also one of the few at my job who hasn't had a pen bust in a pocket.... I did notice some flooding issues when using high vg liquids, for some odd reason and no issues with 50/50 and 60/40....
And I do get some fluid collecting under the removeable mouthpiece, but not as much lately....

My mini had NEVER leaked into my mouth before. Depending on the viscosity of your e-liquid, you can play around with the wicks on your atomizer head to improve your vape. I'd be glad to tell you how, again, depending on the viscosity of your juice. If you have the choice, definitely get the 1.8 Ohm heads as they will perform MUCH better on your twist eGo battery. Always a good idea to remove your tanks from your battery when you are not using it, if you have a temperature or atmospheric pressure differential, your bottom coil tank could drip onto your battery connection. Good luck!

I so totally agree. I wouldn't/couldn't drive 75 miles for the money involved, but I darn sure to avoid being ripped off like. I encountered a store with a Protank kit for $39.95. I smiled and handed it back to him.
