Thanks for the information guys! You guys have any other tips about the Mini Protank 2? I think I'm set on getting that one.

Mini Protank 2 with removable tip - 101Vape
Can anyone tell if this version(above url) of the protank comes with the removable tip?

Mini Protank 2 replacement coils - 101Vape
Also, do these replacement coils work with the Mini Protank 2 in the above link? Never bought a Protank before so I'm not sure if these work with the Mini Protank as well? Is this the only part I need to replace about every two weeks?

My current setup:

  • EGO 1000 C-Twist battery
  • iClear 16 tank with replaceable atomizers(2.1 ohms)
There are plenty of flavors that melt through the plastic tank, so I am looking to get a glass tank so I can use those liquids.
I do not want a giant tank that is way wider than the battery, if possible.

What I want:

  • Glass tank that uses replaceable atomizers (so liquids can't melt through the tank)
I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on a tank, but I do want something better than what I'm currently using.
So, what tanks would you guys recommend for use with the EGO batteries? I'm quite curious.

Thanks!

I know everyone is suggesting a mini pro tank, but I would highly recommend the Smok Pyrex Aro. You can get them here: Smok Tech Pyrex Aro Tank

Here is a picture of mine, and I absolutely love it!! IMG_20131021_095455_308.jpg

It has everything that you describe that you want, and it is much less than the mini pro tank, which people either love or hate!
Hope this helps give you a cheaper and, in my opinion, better option than the pro tank.

Mini PT2s are great, but I did order one of the smoktech aros that should be here in the next day or two. I can't imagine it would be much better. I also ordered the Aspire et-s dual bottom coil. I will post a comparison review when I have all those I ordered this week and can test them out.

After you post the review, can you share a link to the review as a comment on this post? I would like to see your review.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
Mini-protanks work with Protank/Evod coils.

I recently got the Smoktech ARO, and I really like it also. The only draw back is that it's hard to clean and dry. What method do you use?

best tank out there at the moment. hand over fist better then kanger product ever made. you will not be dissapointed. outstanding flavor, outstanding throat hit out standing vapor it is duel coil. and its actually a warm vape despite being a bottom coil.

I second that opinion jtracc!

These rock! I use the ET-S Glass BDC with my iTaste VV battery mod and I use the Aspire BDC Vivi Nova Pyrex Tank Stainless with my iTaste SVD mod.

Both work VERY WELL! No gurgles, no leaks, warm vape, great TH, etc.

I followed Eric's advice from DiscountVapers.com and washed the new units thoroughly (excluding coil head) prior to first use to eliminate any factory production residue, film, and such. I filled them up and let them sit for a few minutes then did very gentle pulls on them to ensure the coil head was filled with juice prior to actually powering them up. This is especially crucial when using thick juices. Since the two holes are small and there is a liner in front of those holes, it's imperative that one lets the coil head get saturated with juice prior to vaping.

I believe those that are complaining about them are in too much of a hurry to use them, don't clean the unit first and don't allow the juice to soak into the coil head assembly.

Now for those those who say these leak. ALL tanks leak to some degree or another I have discovered. Usually it's just a little bit between the 510 connection and the battery connection. Now I have noticed that in cold weather, if you're taking the units outside and such that the tanks get cold, then when going back indoors the leaking occurs. This I believe is because the juice is expanding in the tank along with the metal unit itself. A cure I tried out is to take the tank off the battery mod and any extra tanks I have that I carry around in my carry bag. I set them upside down so the bottom of the tank is up, so as they warm up and slightly expand no juice is forced through the coils. Once they've reached room temperature they're good to go, no leaks or issues then.

TIP: Green floral foam is a handy item to use to stick your tanks into upside down. It's used for flower arranging and you can get it at any B&M florist store. They'll also cut it to the size you need. Very cheap and it conforms exactly to the shape of the unit. Now it's not the most aesthetically pleasing item to look at, but for the purpose I use it for it works great. Then the block of foam goes into the desk drawer.

ok so i spoke too soon. first 24 hrs was great with this tank. unfortunately, the original head i was using starting going burnt after that 24hr mark. i chalked it up to just perhaps a bad head, and moved on to the second head that the tank came with....

well folks, back to bad wicking issues. cant get this thing to wick worth a dam. tried the other 5 heads, yes i said 5 heads and all have the same issue. they just dont want to wick, and the draw for some reason has gotten insanely tight with all these heads. looks like its back to the drawing board once again. these have the same issues the protanks do. thought for a second there vapeonly had done it right, but i stand corrected. oh well. the hunt for a device that works continues.

Edit: after further inspection the first head went bad do to the bottom post actually coming half off the bottom plate of the head if that makes sense. odd thing, not sure why or how that happened. the other ones are still a no go.
