Normally I wouldn't be saying this about USPS because I know people have problems with them. But this is the one time they did right, for me at least. I received my TV package today. Less than 48 hours after Geoff sent it out to ship. Normally it takes USPS 3-4 days to get from CA to IN depending on when the packaged is dropped off and when the package arrives in Indy.

Someone must have lite a fire under the ... of the postmasters for it to get here that fast. It's not like I even wanted it right away. I planned on waiting until Thursday or Friday or next week before even opening the bottles. Thought I would give them an extra week to age since I have more than enough to hold me over until then.

Honestly I have always wondered why everyone was so down on USPS, I have shipped A LOT of stuff and in my EXP USPS is always the fastest for the money.

UPS sucks IMO and FedEx is more $$

I agree that FedEx is more expensive. I rarely ever use them because of this. I do however like UPS. I like them because of there tracking shipments. They are great about keeping your package tracked. Unlike USPS as soon as it comes off the truck the package is scanned and updated in the system immediately. Unlike USPS where it could take hours up to a day to update.

But even since USPS came out with the flat rate shipping I find myself using them more. Its hard to beat the flat rate price.

I do have to give it to our local post office, they ARE really trying on our behalf too. While they still can't seem to get the status messages right, they are shoveling our packages through VERY quickly as we're our local post office's BIG account.

We go through anywhere from $400-$600 in postage on a daily basis. So, they really are trying to turn things around, at least on our behalf. So, my hat is off to them. They are trying.
