My last VV ego kicked the bucket this morning... I hope my coworkers still like me tomorrow because I had completely forgotten what a 9 hour nic fit was like!

Anyways, the only VV I can find on the GV site is a box. Where did they all go? I initially wasn't thrilled about moving from a KR808 to an ego due to the size difference, but I quickly got over it. Unfortunately I'm not willing to look like I'm carrying a hitter box.

Are standard VVs coming back, or did they go the way of the dodo bird?

we have tons of stuff coming but will not move on ego vv until we are completly satisfied no issues will arrise, others are now selling these after we dumped them , so be a little patient, maybe 1 month before the new ones from a new company can be fully tested.

I've got a ton off VVs. My desk is littered with them. I have a few more on their way. I will say this; they are all still going, except for the VV eGos. You were right to drop them. All of mine died, and they were from 3 different vendors. All of them had the same issue too. I was going to fix them, but someone in one of the forums wanted them. I need to track him down, and send them on their way.

They were a great idea, with a terrible execution...

Well I'll count myself fortunate mines still happy. I really love it and will be sad when it dies. Hopefully by the time that happens new ones will have arrived.

If you don't switch around your stuff too often, they will last longer. I am constantly putting different items on my PVs, that they didn't last me long.

I'm not sure if they're sold out, but the Vornado "Dongle" is a VV passthrough...

It is a decent one too! I still have mine, and use it to stealth vape at work. ;-)

I'm in love with mine if you all haven't guessed :D I just wish it was more portable for when I'm up and about doing housework or visiting family. At least I can hook it up to the usb port in the cd player in my car!

I realize that there are other vv batteries, but they are either way too expensive or they have bad reviews like in this thread. Maybe I just need a higher voltage battery that is kind to most cartos. I see a lot of people mention 1100 mah batteries, are those my best bet? Mine is just 650 mah

I went looking for tablets, and was going to get the Acer Iconia Tab A100, and it had a little usb port on it. I was going to see if I could hook the dongle to it, and get it powered. It is supposed to be a host port, so it could have worked. I ended up getting a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus. It was just so thin and fast! I couldn't pass it up! It was $90 more than the Acer though. It also doesn't have the USB host port. :(

I think the 1100 mah batteries just last longer. They are also bigger. My Rivas are 650 mah, and I have a 1100 mah Riva kit coming to review. I will let you know if they are much better. :)

I'm on my Acer A100 and I love it. I never use my laptop anymore unless I have to work. I can't hook the dongle up to it, though. The micro usb port is shaped differently than the micro usb converter I have. I am planning to look into finding a converter that I can use, but I don't even know what this one is. Right now I have it hooked into an old computer tower that I have under the coffee table by the computer.

I had it in my hand, when I walked by the Samsung. The Samsung seemed twice as fast, and was half the thickness. I couldn't believe it. After wasting the salesman's time for a half hour, asking questions about the Acer, and making them dig it out of the back... I stopped at the Samsung, and wasted another half hour. I just couldn't look at another tablet, after seeing the Samsung. They did an outstanding job on it.

I like the Acer A100. It is a nice tablet. I had every intention of getting it too. But, that dang Samsung stole the thunder! :)

I have an iPad2, and I use it mostly for work, even though the thing is filled up with games I don't play. I wanted something smaller than 10", so I could use it as an eBook reader also. I have a Kindle Fire, but I don't like it much.

The Kindle Fire is okay. No cameras, so Skype is out of the question. Not that I like to be in front of the camera :D, but it was a bit annoying. I do like to Skype. Also, there isn't any BlueTooth radio on it, so BT headphones, game controllers, and any other BT items can't be used. It has decent speed, but there is one thing that made me not like it; it doesn't have a volume rocker on it. Software driven volume only.

The Aser Iconia Tab A100 is only $259 at Best Buy. It has BT, hardware buttons, cameras, and Honeycomb (ICS coming out for it in about a month, I read) If you go there to get one, let them know I said hi. They all know me, since I practically pay their paychecks. Yup, every Best Buy everywhere!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus (the Plus is the new one) is pretty awesome, but it is $350. I love mine. It has IR and some like $100 remote app on it or something. I will eventually try that. ;-)

The Nook Tablet, like the Kindle Fire, is coming to Walmart soon, at a reduced price. I loved my Nook Color, and it was much better than the Kindle Fire too.

That's about all the ones to mention in 7". Samsung makes an 8.9" Galaxy Tab, and it is nice too. Sony makes a 9.7" tablet, and it is good too. Both are $399.

If you want a 10" tablet, there are really only 2 that I would consider. The iPad2, and the ASUS Transformer Prime. They are both $499. The iPad2 speaks for itself, but with the new ones coming... hold off. The ASUS Transformer Prime is a nice, thin, quad core tablet, with an optional dock. It uses the Tegra3 chip, has a beautiful screen, runs ICS, and was the first quad core tablet. The latest firmware update took care of almost all of the issues.

If money weren't an object, I would get the ASUS Transformer Prime, and the dock. If you can find it in stock -- hit Best Buy on Wednesday morning -- it is a great tablet. If you want something in the Fire's price range, go with the Acer Iconia A100. If you are looking for something for gaming, I can get you a link to a 5" or 7" PSP looking tablet out of China. That's my next purchase. ;-)

Let me just pop in here and comment on the fire. I wanted it for a while, but ultimately decided to go with an Android device. The Kindle is nice for what it can do, but you can get an Android tablet that can do it all and have more features for the same price or more.

If she wants to goof off online, you can pay 250 for the Acer A100 that I have at walmart and you will also get a front and back camera, microphone, Android 3.2 and more. This version of Android is very good and I have yet to find an app that I can't run on it. I use it to browse the forums that I'm on and have no trouble.

For a hundred bucks more, you can get the A500 which is a bit more souped up and has a ten inch screen which looks like an ipad. This might be preferable for her as it will only make navigating a browser easier.

These tablets have dual core processors so loading times for programs is basically non existent. It also has 1 gig of RAM which just makes it run that much smoother. The seven inch one comes with 8 gigs of storage space and can be upgraded to I think 32, but I'm not completely positive on that number. I haven't felt the need to get more space yet since I don't have any big files stored on it.

I can't personally comment on the galaxy, but you have lord d for that. I think that you should go for the ten inch Acer if she's gonna spend time surfing the net since the large screen makes it easier to do. The seven inch does just fine, though. Plus ten inch screens are a plus for watching netflix on the app. Android also has flash while ipads don't so everything will display on a website.
