What Happened to 'Replace Tube- $15' ????? WHAT?

I just went to the Provape website to check to see if they were offering prorings yet and I decided to go to the Terms & Conditions page to check to see if a new tube was still $15.

To my shock and horror I could not find the replacement tube in the list?? I read it over 5 or 6 times and it just isn't there right now. Whats going on? The only reason I bought a Provari was because I knew I could have it refinished to look new if I ever scratched it up. Is it still $15 to get a tube replacement? I'd like to get a replacement in the next few months.

If a Provape representative would be kind enough to comment here that'd be really nice. Otherwise I guess I will wind up sending them an e-mail asking about it. I don't know how they could take that off the site. Its a key selling point.

Went through the same thing a few months ago. Provape told me they are no longer offering this service. Bare I mind when I asked it was still listed on the site, the following day it was removed from the site. No explanation ever given; ended up selling the afflicted device. Look under the topic about "Warranty? Is it worth it?"

I e-mailed them earlier today and I told them about my post here in the provape forum on ecf so they will either find this post and reply here or I will relay the message that I receive here. I just cannot believe that they would take that away? I feel duped. Its like I bought a Keurig coffee maker and they took the Kcups off the market. The fact that I could get a new tube was the main reason I bought a provari. I hope we all figure this out. I think its silly that they'd accept 20 bucks for them to clean it but they wont accept 20 bucks to replace the tube?

Okay guys, I got a reply from Jennifer today in my PM box here on ECF so you know that the Provape associates are around ECF and from the private message, I got the impression that the gal that messaged me is a nice person that just wanted to help. I do feel funny copying and pasting the PM into the open forum, but she said nothing that she wouldn't want the whole forum to read from what I can make of it. So, I will copy and paste the message here. The following is the message that I received:

I wanted to follow up with you on this one as I do not want any confusion. There was a bit of confusion previously with our listing of the tube replacement in our repair section which is why it was removed from our page. The tube replacement fee that was listed previously was for tubes that were dented or crushed and were no longer usable, but we received a lot of requests for tube replacements due to scratches and scuffs which was not what the listing was set up for which was why it was removed, to lessen any confusion. Because normal wear and tear is to be expected to any coated surface, if we were to offer this, we would need an entire tube replacement department to keep up with demand. We do our best to quickly service our repairs, but if we were to add this as an option, it would in turn change our repair time to a week or 2 vs the 24-48hrs it is currently at. Please let me know if this helps at all. I would be happy to help in any way possible.

So, with what Jennifer has said here, I feel a little more at ease. But I am sure that this will still upset some.
If I want a new tube for my Provari, I guess I will sell my current provari at a discount and then buy a new one, adding $ for what I lost to the discount. As far as I know, there is no popular website or send-in service that is doing new anodizing for the Provari.

Fair enough.... So their point is: if the tube is scratched pound sand however if the tube is smashed and un-useable they will consider replacing it?

well with the replace tube option being off of the website completely, i wouldn't take a hammer to your provari to get a new one.

You could always buy a wrap for it. It almost feels like you're getting a new device (at least for simple-old-me).

Big thanks to Jennifer for PMing me and letting me know that was a problem. I feel a little responsible because I have told a lot of people that the tube replacement option could be used to replace a scratched tube. Maybe "Dented/Destroyed Tube Replacement" could be added to the list, which would hopefully help with the confusion.

Personally, I ended up finding some stainless steel/aluminum cleaner under the kitchen sink and I shined my satin silver provari scratches right out. Its as shiny as it was the day I got it now. They were just surface scratches. Deeper gouges may not come out, but shining the tube with SS cleaner couldn't hurt to disguise the scratch. The metal underneath the silver anodizing is very close to the anodizing, and buffing the device with a SS cleaner does get rid of the scratches. It may take a bit of the anodizing off, but it does not dull the anodizing, quite the opposite. Pretty cool. I was worried it would either dull or rub the anodizing off completely.
