Well the P3 does have the optional and programmable hot boost.

So do the Evolv 40's (Flask and also Shark rDNA, ProtoVapor's XPV and some others), though not sure what the 40 offers in the way of programmability. Mind you, I'm not trying to sell Evolv chips. I'm actually thinking if I do decide to get a dna 40 based device I should probably wait for Evolv to work out a few more of the teething issues.

No love for the Vapor Shark rDNA 40? :) (It's the one I've got my eye on, but their customer service garners... ah, let's just say less than the best ratings. lol)

Vapor Shark looks sweet but am toying with the aesthetics for my out and about use. The Shark is about the same size exactly as my Mini Reo but tends to be a tad bulgy (Sp?) for my front pant pocket. I adore this little guy in every other way (speed, taste) but not my 1st choice for running around with it I my pant pocket. Also because I move a lot at work, the atties tend to give up a drop of 2 into my pocket over the day. Am thinking the contour lines of the Flask might be more amenable to front pant pocket?

I keep looking at the P3 also because of my track record with them. My only holdout has to do with the fact that with my present favorite topper (kayfun Lite), even the Mini is a rather stealth device. Hence why I've been running around with the Work Horse more. It's an shorter than the Mini P.

Oy Vey! I have such big problems!!

Am wondering if tobacco lovers have more wiggle room in their taste buds and with fluctuation in devices/toppers?

And Gutter, I think you ought to get a P3 and Vapor Flask then report back. That will help me decide. You go first K?

on the tobacco thing, i find it's easier to get the correct flavor out of them with a wider range of devices than something like the mmb or some of the other high vg organic stuff i use. In my experience the tobaccos tend to actually benefit from increased heat to cut the sweetness a bit and bring out the tobacco notes.

on the p3/vapor flask debate - i'm out on the flask - just too big.
actually, this mech speed issue has completely ruined me lately and i found myself looking at reos *gasp* tonight.i may get a nice mech and wait on all the early adopter bugs to shake to see where things land.
i think out of the regulated devices we've been talking about, the rdna would be a winner for out and about but i'm not keen on buying into something that has a ...err... let's just call it "spotty" customer service reputation when the p3 would cover about 95% of my needs.

either way, i think i'm gonna have a big sell off this weekend or first of the week and start socking away money for something.

You guys I swear.

Everywhere I go, enabling.

No new toys for me simply cuz I told meself nothin' more, other than liquids, till I can afford me a Reo.
Of course between now and then if Evolve gets the bugs worked out of the DNA 40 and someone were to put that in a bottom feeder and sell it for less then what a Reo goes for then I would get that instead but I doubt that'll happen so I'm gonna stop here before I get accused of aimless ramblin'......

I promise that you guys will love a Reo. Promise! When it comes to taste, it's a beast and very, very, very simple to work on. If it wasn't for the ocassional drop of liquid that escapes the atty into my pants pocket, it is perfect. This escaping could very well be user error. Also, QC is Equal to Provaris. Rob is very active on the threads and Reoville folks are extra helpful.

It just might be one of the answers to your high vg PITA maintenance issue Gutter. As you might know, I adore Black Clove..tee hee. Well quick honestly, it's an atty eater. I wouldn't even consider using it in a Kayfun cause of the hastle. It requires that I re-wick and dry burn about every 3 ml (others' results may vary...but I love big taste). With the 2 simple toppers (Reomizer 2. and Igo BF) I just pop off the top, re-wick (maybe 30 seconds) and I'm good to go).

Just my 2 or 3 cents

Yep, nice bunch over there. It truely is brilliant. You get the best taste possible (like dripping) without the hassle of dripping. It's also less expensive than replacing heads (and less waste). A bag of organic cotton will last for 10 years and a bit of wire. (Are you hearing me Hitt? It's cheap). Not a hassle to re-wick Hitt. Just pull out the old cotton and put in the new. (I run mint, mango in my Woodvile and even though it is heavy VG, I only re-wick every 10 or so mls....).

And awwww....the flavor!! It does Aroma's flavors justice.

that's what i'm thinking- the last few days have been pretty brutal with dry hits in the kayfuns for some reason and it's about to drive me nuts.trying to troubleshoot issues like that in those tanks while working makes my "hit it with a hammer and set in on fire" finger get itchy....

are you running japanese cotton in your reos?

No, I haven't tried the Japanese cotton yet, just regular organic cotton. I tried the Readyx but since it is a tad smaller in diameter than my usual coils I make with a 16 g. blunt needle, it was a bit too small (duh right?). So instead of trying something new to build it, I got # lazy and went back to cotton. Haven't given up, just too lazy right now.

Hope you get it sorted. Hate to see Kayfun blood on your hands.....

I like a 50/50 to 25/75 pg/vg blend for flavor. I switch between my Knight Mod and my Vamo V6. I do use a Kayfun light at 1.1 to 1.4 ohm when in the car. The rest of the time I drip with either a Patriot with a coil of 28G two strands twisted at 0.5 ohm or a "Baby Dripper" from SMOK with a coil of 28G at 1.1 ohm. The smaller chamber gives a better flavor at the higher ohm.

Affirmative that.
Waiting on an Achilles clone. As best I can tell it should have a relatively smallish chamber with the added benefit of airflow directly below the coil.
Only place I could find a clone was from a vendor in China. Of course after I placed the order I found an eBay seller with the same thing for the same price and the same free ship based in the states!

The wait for the slow boat will simply amplify expectations (-:

#RXW

I really don't get the pound symbol thing but I want to be part of the crowd (-:

I was thinking of trying ReadyX in a Kayfun, but... what issues have you run into with it in Kayfuns?
