No, I haven't tried the Japanese cotton yet, just regular organic cotton. I tried the Readyx but since it is a tad smaller in diameter than my usual coils I make with a 16 g. blunt needle, it was a bit too small (duh right?). So instead of trying something new to build it, I got # lazy and went back to cotton. Haven't given up, just too lazy right now.

Hope you get it sorted. Hate to see kayfun blood on your hands.....

aaah. that's crazy that you're having to rewick so often.

i think i may have gone too far on the side of not enough wick - i'm getting dry hits after 3 or 4 draws but no burnt cotton...

I was thinking of trying ReadyX in a kayfun, but... what issues have you run into with it in Kayfuns?

I've not tried it in a kayfun.
Read quite a few posts regarding difficulties with it is all. Too stiff to play well in the kayfun is the general gist.

The Workhorse is just that: a workhorse. I went ahead and sprung (hahaha) for the stiffer spring as I didn't want any misfires. It's pretty stiff and sometimes I have to concentrate on how I push it in order to make connection but I don't worry about misfires in my pocket (which is otherwise empty). I really, really like the size too. Tis nearly an inch shorter than my Minis which feels better with the KFL. I always run the KFL plus on it. I'm sold on those guys. Since I use mostly PG (Menthol P-38 which is light color) my maintanence isn't much. Once a week I pop in a fresh cotton wick and I'm good to go.

Am not opposed to regulated at all. My minis get lots of love mostly around the house lately. Really like the speed factor (maintenance and apocalyptic fear are non-issues for me). Wonder if the Vapor Flask (after the bugs) or the P3 will be comparable in the speed dept.?

I can tell you about the Provari P3 I use it and I love it it goes up to 20 watts and if you go up that high you will get a smooth vape I use a nautilus tank on it and no problems whatsoever from the first to the last hit smooth sailing all the way.... the P3 is a highly recommend buy you will not be disappointed.......

What's the difference between a kayfun and a taifun?

#stupid question

It depends on which version of which one you're talking about but, in general, the build deck, airflow control and juice capacity.
The taifun gt and kayfun lite are pretty close to each other ( same juice capacity,no airflow control) with the exception of the build deck.

Short answer: Pronunciation. ;)
Long answer: Both are not as good as an Erlkonigin. :D
There's no such thing as a stupid question. There are a lot of inquisitive idiots in this world though.

I haven't tried the Readyx in the my Kayfun Lite. Am happy with cotton. Might want to pose the question in the Kayfun Lite thread. Lots of scoop over there. (Not that there isn't "scoop" here...hahaha). Been keeping an eye on that thread, as Svoemesto is just about to release the "new and improved" version.

#addingtothescoopofpoop.

Just grooving here with my mini Reo (1.3ish coil), black clove WTA and a cup of coffee.
