When Super X talks, I listen. Such a kind and helpful soul (like so many Reonauts). Kinda keep my eye on those resin mods that will soon to be forthcoming.
Pennies for Reo OTD!!

Hitt, I also found the Koh Gen on Amizon too. (Free shipping with Prime). Should take me a while to get thru my sample, but I want to be ready!

just viewed the video. I've been using bigger coils and therefore not splitting my pads.

Ok, I got 8 pads off of ebay for about $5. I tried watching the video but it keeps cutting off. I'm sure it's my computer. Anyway from what I saw he cuts a piece about the width of the coil, rounds it and feeds it thru the coil. It looks like the eight pads I have coming will last a long time for no more than he used.

So much easier, in my opinion, to use cotton or the like. You can make it bigger or smaller with little effort. Also, the flavor (or lack thereof) is much better IMHO.
I make practically the same coil every time, and then I want my wick and coil to last months. Literally months. I dry burn it every 5 days or so, clean it up white as new and forget about it. Works great for me, there's nothing I hate worse than fiddling with atomizers, gloppy wicks, all that jazz. To me cotton and to a lesser extent rayon tastes like socks. Silica can be nasty for the first couple hours but then tasteless to me, for months.

Of course cotton-ish wicks seem to be a necessity for atomizers and power levels which require huge wicking. Mine don't so silica's perfect for me. It keeps up just fine at 10-12 mls/week.

Yesterday I ran into a guy at work who I didn't know vaped, he was standing outside vaping some big airhole dripper at 27 watts, 3mg juice, the whole nine yards. We talked for a bit, he was in awe of the fact that I'm some sort of vaping godfather since I started in 2011, whatever. We traded mods and I blew a huge cloud of wimpy juice which tasted like something an old lady puts under her earlobes (Tiger's Blood is what it was) and he completely choked out on my 24mg Joe at 1.1 ohms in my Rose on a 3.8 volt in my WorkHorse.

Fun story snork. Thanks for sharing.

I got my roll of kanthal and kuro coilers in the mail today. I don't know if I'll have a chance or not tonight but I got all three. 2,2.5, and 3mm. I have to get stuff ready for a three hour road trip tomorrow to take my oldest to a college audition.

Great story Snork! Different strokes huh? . What might taste like burned perfume (27 watts), must work for him.

Hiit, good on you with your first try! Get that drill out. When I first tried out my Igo, I couldn't imagine what folks were talking about. Then. I read about drilling and proper placement of the coil and hole.
