I might do that. I have a back up if I don't like it. What was the ideal air hole position again?

First, drill hole. Go just a tad bigger. Try it. Repeat if needed with larger drill bit.
Second, build coil and mount.
Third, line up cap so that hole is exactly in front of coil. (Look in from the outside of the cap). You can adjust coil height to be even with hole.

I be found that lots of rda's need hole drilled larger. I've also done both of mine for my Reo's.

if you've got a small step bit you can just work it up a bit at a time untill you hit airflow you like.

as to position - in the igo, when the coil is mounted, you'll have a short end of the wick and a long end wrapped around the post and back under the coil. i like the airflow closest to the short end and angled so the airflow is almost vertical across the top of the coil lengthwise.

With the Igo, set up the coil so it's right at the outer edge of the deck. Back from the edge just enough so the cap doesn't touch it.
Set the height of the coil up from the deck to match the airhole in the top cap.

When ya put the cap on align the hole so it's perfectly in front of the coil.

Then drip some Lemonberry!

I got my cotton today and cut a wick. It holds liquid really well. Flavor is good too.

I think he's hooked guys!!! It is amazingly simple and inexpensive to coil your own. Yes, sometimes, one has to fiddle, but that's part of what it takes to get the best flavor IMHO. You'll never want to go back to those pre-made thingies again.

Something I was just thinking about, how is the wicking on the kayfun lite with thick liquids? I've been having wicking issues with a new liquid I'm trying in my aspire which usually handles thick liquids well.

that's the same thing i ran into with the aspire stuff. i had a couple of boxes of heads that were fine with thicker juices and then a run that weren't okay with them at all.after looking in to it, their website "suggests" 50/50 at the maximum for their coil heads.
70vg in the kayfuns is about the cutoff in my experience. i've drilled the airflow out on mine and that exacerbates the problem a bit by lessening the vacuum.i have experimented by widening the feed channels where they enter the chimney and that has helped some but,i think a lot of people just do the primer puff thing, tweak their wicking and go on about their lives.primer puffs can make them flood pretty bad if the wicking is off even a bit and just seems like a band aid fix for issues with the channels and chamber air pressure.
i've settled on a little more wick with the coils a bit bigger and further off the deck with the wick tails right over the channels and can pretty much chain vape off my kayfuns without dry hits or flooding at 70/30.anything thicker than that goes in the drippers.

    Somewhere between here and there
I got one of my Kayfun lite attys today. First try was a bust. The coil was too low of a resistance. I'm on a second coil that's reading 1.7. The Vape is really hot. Part of the problem is I can't turn the watts down under 6.2 on the istick. This coil is 2mm. Im wondering if it'd be better with a 2.5 or 3mm coil and a little higher resistance.

My coil was reading 1.7 to start but now is showing 1.5. I feel like I'm taking in a lot more nic than I ever did with the nautilus. Is it normal for the resistance to jump around. I never really noticed before. I think I might like a 2 ohm coil better. One thing for sure is I'm taking shorter draws.

Sorry Hitt, I don't check on this thread often. Remember that the Kayfun Lite Plus 2 thread in RTA section is really active and there are pros over there that are very helpful. Saved me a lot of headaches.

I don't have experience with an IStick or jumping resistance. I do think that the KFL's are happiest at a lower voltage. My coils come in at 1.5 or 1.6 and I run in at 3.7. Much cooler.. I use a 2.0 jig for thicker juices and really tighten up the airflow.

And yes indeed, lots of folks find that their Nic consumption decreases with the KFL's. There was a long discussion on that same topic over in the thread I mentioned. It really is a remarkable Nic delivery system. I've been down to 12 since I found them a year ago and could go lower in the near future. Am hoping Aroma will have 6 mg. options to keep up with the changing technology. They are not your Grandmother's e-cigs
