Fiasco? I missed that som' eres.
What heads were ya using gutter?

The Aspire BVC heads are wicking my thick VG liquids well, they're working great on the iSitick.
Also works fannnnnntastic with the Igo-L.

Sorry man, I haven't really been posting about it since I've been so busy but, I've been through 4 bvc's now- 2x1.6 and 2x1.8 running Tobacco Road in the nautiliiii.
They're just burning to a crisp almost immediately. The one today, I even squirted fluid down the middle of the coil and then let it sit in the full tank for a full half hour, primed it and it was burnt by the third hit.not sure what the deal is? The coils are all authentic and from different vendors and I've tried having it turned all the way down in wattage and voltage modes. I may stick the meter on it tomorrow - I guess it could be a faulty unit or something. Dunno what it is but, the coil and wasted juice costs are eating me alive at this point.

Gutter I've run some pretty thick liquids in the aspire mini nova with the bdc coils and never had a problem. So far I've only run GI Joe and Beatle juice in my nautilus. You could try adding a few drops of water to your liquid to thin it out but really shouldn't need to with the redtail stuff. I've been running the Joe at 9 watts on the istick in the nautilus.

    Any progress gutter?

not yet - i just now got a chance to sit down (yesterday and today were nuts!) but i have been using one of those 1.8's that cooked on the eleaf yesterday on the provari today ( didn't have a chance to stop and pick something else up) and it's definitely burnt too. i'm gonna empty it out, pull the coil and look at it and see if it's burned in the same spots as the others and then throw the istick on the meter and see if my meter is fast enough to read it. it may be something as simple as shortening my draw and tightening up the airflow but, if i have to change everything else about the way i vape to get it to work passably everytime i switch up devices, it may have to go live with someone else :)

Sorry Gutter! We've all been there. Trying to figure out the scoop on a new rig. Maybe set up one of your KFL's while you're sorting out the new guys. At least you'll have some WTA flowing (which always helps me with sorting).

hehehehe. yes maam- the kayfun/provari is keeping me sane :)

My dual coils in the aerotank do fine at 1.8 but the bdc and bvc aspire coils are 2.1. I wonder if the higher resistance coils would work better.

i wound up a 2.4 in the kayfun the other day and it ran great, actually. the kayfun hassle kind of kills the convenience factor though : )

ok, so just so you guys don't think i'm completely nuts :).
this is what this last 1.8 bvc coil looks like after about 3/4 of a tank in the mini (so what? 1.75 ml of juice?):
    IMG_1722.jpg

the filler that is usually wrapped directly on the coil is completely gone.the wick is nice and saturated but it is burnt to a crisp.

aaah... i was under the impression the regular aspire coils wouldn't fit in the mini?
hmm... may need to do some reading...

    So lemme get this straight....
You put de lime in de coconut your drink em both up
    You put de.......

    Oop, wrong dimension. re-boot.....

Gutter, the coil pictured is a Nautilis BVC?
Regardless, the BVC's I'm using with success on the iStick are the "BDC Replacement" BVC's.
In other words the ones that fit all Aspire tanks other than the Nautilis.

I only mention that cuz I've not used a nautilis. Anyhoo..... dayum but that does look cooked!
So, looking at all the other iStick threads and videos, it appears that at the lower settings the iStick will show right at 1 volt higher on a DMM then it's setting would indicate.

RMS vs Avg thang. You understand all that better then I do.

All that typed..... dayum but that looks cooked!
Other than your iStick is wonky put a couple 2 or 3 drops in the coil to help prime is all I got.

That coil does look bad. For some reason I didn't recognize the type of coil at first. Probably because I was looking at it on my phone. I've been using the same bvc coil on my mini nautilus since I got it and have been running it on an istick since Tuesday. I am thinking that maybe you were right about it not wicking like you originally said. Since I got it broke in I've been running the istick at around 9 watts with the mini but I've been running 80/20 liquid.

I'm confused now. Are you talking about the nautilus coils or the regular aspire coils? The regular aspire won't fit the nautilus but both are available in 2.1 ohm.

    hahahaha.
the nautilus coils - i haven't been able to find the 2.1s anwhere that will fit the mini.everyone just has the 1.6 and 1.8.
