All my little black plastic ashtrays got tossed.

The glass ashtrays I have were collectors items when I got them (Mikasa, Waterford, Fenton, etc) so they are in storage, for the most part, until I get the motivation to photograph them and put them on Ebay.

A couple of the REALLY nice ones I have re-purposed as a valet on my dresser, or as a stand to display some of my PVs on the coffee table...

Mine went into the trash the day I started vaping. I was so happy to get smoking out of my life and surroundings - forever!

My housemate still smokes, so it's out on the porch.

If I want a reminder of how awesome I am for quitting, I just go out there and smell it.

Most of mine were given away. I kept a few for keys and change and one for the deck when someone comes over who smokes. Don't even slightly miss them

One has old ash debris and silicone caps in it. Another is on my balcony with butts from a party and snow in it. The rest are clean and around here somewhere, but I have no idea where - it's been 6 months since I looked for them...

I cleaned and bleached out all my ashtrays (I used the deep-cup type cause I chain smoked too often to empty them but once a day,) and modded them a bit into various PV holders using potting foam.

I collected beautiful glass ashtrays so I kept one for smoking company and one for Q tips as said above. Oh and I have one on my night stand for candy when I am watching TV in bed.

Curious, I was gonna start a thread asking this very same question last night, then for some reason I didn't, and now here it is.

FYI, ashtrays make excellent little dishes for keeping spare change, paper clips, or USB memory sticks by the computer.

I have 3 that are way too nice to toss but all the normal ones that were constantly filled were tossed last January.

Well mine sure as hell aren't going in the trash. I was collector of tobacciana and almost all of the ashtrays in my house are somewhat valuable. This one has the lighter and cigarette box which has a built in music box. This one is about average in my collection...

I have several smoking stands as well, I may re-purpose another one for vaping like I have this one...

the only ash tray i have is on the deck where it always sits.
didnt smoke in the house so no need for one inside.
we also have a .... bucket in the front and back yards for our friends who do still smoke.
Although i am slowly turning them into vapors

The car ashtray stayed in the car for the first 2 weeks before I tossed it in the trashcan. There is still one on the back porch that can be used by visitors who smoke, even though I don't think we have any smoker friends any more.

My ashtrays were all nice cut glass ones...and a few "collectible" and "one of a kind" ones. No WAY I was going to throw them out! Besides...seeing ashtrays doesn't make me feel like I'm going to "relapse". I'm not that suggestible. I haven't smoked in 16 months and am completely unfazed by being around smokers or ashtrays or lighters. Admit I don't much like the smell of smokers anymore, though! haha! Anyway...I cleaned the ones I had been using back in 2011 (the others are boxed up somewhere), and they are stacked in a kitchen cupboard in case friends or family members who smoke visit. I'm no anti-smoking Nazi. I kept two particularly pretty ones out..one is in the den next to my laptop and is for cartos and other vaping debris that will hit the trash can soon. The other one is in the kitchen and holds cartomizers and some other stuff that just needs cleaning.
