i don't find vaping leads to activity. it is still a sedentary hobby. Obviously you breathe better, etc.

Allergies are way more noticable now. Smoking overwhelms the nose so much that it masks allergies. I'm better than when i smoked part of the time but 5% of the time i am miserable with allergies.

I floss my teeth at least every other day now. Never could remember to do that when i smoked. Now weird tastes remind me to do it.

There is somewhat of a desire to fix yourself up physically once the worst obstacle is overcome. I've been working on a sore back problem that's from tight muscles. Once a guy overcomes the wheezing and the sore muscles, i feel somewhat younger than i have the last few years.

I find my digestion is better, resulting in a perfect consistency of my stool. LOL.

My car doesnt smell like an ashtray.

Analog cig smell like dirt

Finger dont smell

As far as breathing, I havent yet noticed any improvements, and im still coughing. Prolly due to dehydration and adjusting.

Only vaping for 3 weeks

Here's a new one. When smoking cigs, I washed my hands every single time I smoked. I was oblivious to the smells in my hair, skin, clothes etc but hands bothered me so washing hands was part of my habit. My hands were so dry they would almost crack open no matter how many times a day I used lotion. I saw an almost instant improvement in my skin and now my hands don't look like I'm 80.

In addition to better respiratory health and a 10-pound weight loss(!), I have experience major mental health benefits. The feeling of dread has lifted! I felt so bad about killing myself slowly with cigarettes. When Peter Jennings died of lung cancer after having quit cigarettes for 20 years and then smoking over 9/11, it chilled me to the bone. Even if I quit, maybe I would start again if something really horrible happened? I felt like I could never really escape from cigarettes. But now I've been smoke-free for 9 months! It's absolutely wonderful.

Me too, ive felt so guilty especially since the birth of my new boy last year. Brushing teeth, mouthwash, washing hand several times a day, filth filth filth.

Trying so many times to quit and fail really depress me.

glad I found vaping.

Overall i breathe a lot better. The inside of my mouth is a lot cleaner and smells good. I sleep much better now (this was a huge change). My dreams are much more vivid like they were years ago. I don't cough up nasty gobs when brushing my teeth in the morning. I am able to work out with more endurance. I am much more calm and focused. I can taste much better. When the FDA and legislation try to dip their dirty hands on this i laugh so hard. They are fracking clueless.

I am spending less money. Instead of ashtrays full of junk i now have cool stuff as a hobby to vape with. I am healthy again. Suck it FDA.

After 35 years of smoking, I would lay down in bed at night and listen to myself wheeze with every breath. Frankly, that was scary. I never thought it would come to that. After just a few weeks off the analogs, it was gone. Read what Wikipedia says about wheezing:

A wheeze (formally called "sibilant rhonchi" in medical terminology) is a continuous, coarse, whistling sound produced in the respiratory airways during breathing. For wheezes to occur, some part of the respiratory tree must be narrowed or obstructed, or airflow velocity within the respiratory tree must be heightened. Wheezing is commonly experienced by persons with a lung disease; the most common cause of recurrent wheezing is asthma attacks, though it can also be a symptom of lung cancer.

Scary, huh?

Also:
  1. No more hacking up phlegm every morning
  2. No more yellow teeth - they've returned to a (comparatively) off-white color
  3. No more pin-hole burns on my t-shirts and robe
  4. I can smell things again
  5. I don't feel the need to take 800mg of ibuprofen every single morning for muscle/joint aches (only very occasionally now, not regularly)
  6. Now my kitty-cat actually likes to sit on my lap!

Ok, today i went back and train Muaythai (Thailand Kick Boxing). Im expecting my lungs to perform much better than before, but im abit dissapointed :( To be honest, ive taken a 2 months break from training, I know youre probably gonna say its that, not vaping.

But ever since i started training, ive always been smoking. I did reduce it once during my preparation for an amateur fight, so before and after that ive always been smoking. Long story short, i was just expecting that my stamina will improve now, since i started vaping 3 weeks and cut down my analogs tremendously.

Please excuse my concern, i thought since vaping is considered quite new, i was starting to get abit doubtful.

Any thoughts??

With respect, you need to quit the cigarettes entirely (if you have not already). Even a few will still keep causing damage to your lung tissue. Vaping is not at all like smoking, with the exception of maintaining nicotine in your system (and you can choose to eliminate that, too, by reducing down to 0mg nicotine e-juice). Even many doctors have agreed it's 99% safer than smoking analogs. Smoking is combustion. It's ash and smoke and tar and carbon monoxide and about 4,000 other chemicals, literally, that only results from burning something. Vaping is, of course, vaporizing. It's heating up something past the point of turning it into a gas but below the point of ignition, when it turns into ash and smoke. Chemically, it is two separate things. I know this seems obvious, but it's the only way to look at it IMHO. It sounds like you're almost there - keep it up until you're smoke-free and hang in there!:)
