I have been trying to make the switch for quite Sometime I get very close to dropping cigarettes but i always end up migrating back to them. It took me awhile to find an enjoyable liquid and setup I like. I'm fascinated by the cloud chase. I currently am using a hana v3 with a plume veil and just love it. Does anyone out there have any advice. Also I am using 6ml nicotine CLS from Nicoticket.com love the stuff

If the nic level is not stopping you from smoking, up it a little.

Additionally, your body has get accustomed to the lack of other addictive toxic concoctions in cigarettes, which may take longer for some people.

Personally, I was able to stop smoking immediately using 24mg nic with a cheap spinner batt and clearo.

Above poster is right. I was going to tell you, what helped me make a complete switch was getting my nicotine levels correct in my vape. I used 24 mg. Of nicotine in my e juice. Then the transaction was pretty painless. I didn't get the cravings because my nic levels were good. In other words I was satisfied. Then when I would get a craving I would just vape the craving for nicotine would be gone and satified. A lot in vaping is whatever works for you, keep it up but in order for me to quit cigarettes completely I needed the high mg nicotine. It will be a year next month that I've been smoke free and I JUST NOW lowered my nicotine to 18 mg. Also throw out your cigarettes and don't have them in the house and turn to vaping for your nicotine. Also, where ever you smoked, vape now instead. It works great for me. Best wishes.

The bottom line here is you actually have to want to quit smoking. If you can't find your motivation - be it financial, social pressure, health reasons, or you just don't like smoking any longer - you have no reason to stop smoking. You can't buy into the magic wand syndrome. There is no magic about vaping that makes anyone quit and switch - you have to want to do it.

If there is a problem with your gear or you nic level those are things we can help you sort out. But I didn't hear you express any concerns about those kind of issues - just that you are finding it too easy to keep going back to smoking. It is - if you want to do that.

Well, frankly I didn't really mean to start vaping all the time. I did both for a good while and started cutting back on cigs without really realizing it. When I got down to 1 or 2 a day, they tasted so bad that I just said, "What the heck." I think it was the flavors that got me. And then I realized how much money I was really saving. And then it hit me. . . I was really a non-smoker. After all the things I tried. From Chantix to stuffin cotton in straws (which btw is harder than you think). All it took was a tiny puff of water vaper. Go figure. I have not looked back and I am 99.9% sure I will never smoke again.

If I had to offer any suggestions to you, if you keep going back to cigarettes. . . maybe you are not vaping a high enough nic. There are also juices that are made from real tobacco that I have read has helped some people quit and stay quit. Here is one place that a friend buys from and loves them.

Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice

I do wish you the best of luck and maybe your time is now. This is the most reliable place to get information on vaping but it is also a HUGE support group and we are here if you need us. Happy vaping to you.

What helped me make the switch is that I was getting my nicotine fix without inhaling burning poison. I had no expectations going in. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't go into it with the express intention of quitting smoking right away, or even soon. My thought was that it couldn't possibly be as bad for you as smoking. Maybe I would have to do both for awhile, and someday just use the vapor instead.

What I wasn't prepared for was that from the first time I used the PV, I didn't feel the need to light up another smoke, and I haven't done so. Vaping has got me through the hard part, which was nowhere near as hard as I thought it was going to be. I was steeling myself for ugly withdrawal symptoms that never happened. I don't understand why, really, but hey, I'll take it! So it's six weeks later and I've broken my addiction to cigarettes, and I've weaned myself down to practically nothing in terms of e-liquid. When my current supply runs out, that's all, folks.

My lungs don't wheeze anymore. My phlegmy cough has just about completely cleared up. I'm getting my senses of smell and taste back. This has worked out much better than I figured it could. Not everybody has the same experience. It is more difficult for some to get off the nicotine and they feel they must go on vaping for however long until they can stop it. Bottom line is, you're not inhaling burning poison anymore. That's a huge bonus in and of itself. The rest... well, you have to want it. Good luck.

Same for me my first ego hit made the last cigarette I smoked my last.. Never picked one up again.

But I wanted to quit, mostly for financial reasons.. I was sick of paying all that sin tax to the government.. We pay about 3$ in tax per pack round here.. So I had a desire to replace the cigarettes with the vaping alternative, it was so easy at that point to never smoke again, I still get the smoking sensation but without cigarette's

State of mind is the biggest factor.

I smoked for 26 years and was able to make the switch in one day using eGo batteries and clearos (nothing like the clearos now...lol), and haven't had so much as a puff off a cigarette since. Vaping mimics smoking in every way that matters, minus all the thousands of harmful toxins, so there is no reason it shouldn't work.

There may be one factor that made my switch easier than others. I smoked ultra light 100's, so I was use to a light smoke anyway. I can see how those that smoked something like Reds would have a more difficult time. Getting a high nic to start and quickly weaning yourself down should help though.

Also, while dripping is good, it is not always convenient. You should have a regulated mod and a tank that is always ready to go, otherwise, when you want quick satisfaction, you are just going to reach for the cigarette.

A good setup that is easy to tote around is what I carry as a backup.

Vapor Shark DNA30
Sub Tank nano (get some 1.2Ω OCC heads)

That will run you about $110, and there are less expensive options, but the point is to get a setup like that, that you can just reach for and use.

Simply put, being ready to quit and finding the right stuff to make it happen.

I'd thought about quitting cigarettes for a long time, tried the usual routes of patch, gum, cold turkey and none of them worked. I impulsively bought a Blu starter kit instead of a carton of cigarettes. I found ECF that day, ordered a better setup, got the right nic level (18mg) to get me off a PAD habit, and found some juices that were good enough while I searched for an ADV. If I had the urge to smoke, I decided to vape through it (this was a conscious decision more than a few times). I think the support of the people here and the desire to quit were the two biggest factors in my quitting as soon as I had that Blu, but it was much easier once my new mod arrived. Tomorrow marks a year and a half since my last cigarette.

As others suggested, you may want to have some juice with a little higher nic level when you get the urge to smoke. I've dropped my nic from 18mg to 6mg but as I did it I kept a little of the old juice around. It usually didn't take much of old, higher level juice to quell an urge then I went back to my new lower level again.
