What helped me make the switch is that I was getting my nicotine fix without inhaling burning poison. I had no expectations going in. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't go into it with the express intention of quitting smoking right away, or even soon. My thought was that it couldn't possibly be as bad for you as smoking. Maybe I would have to do both for awhile, and someday just use the vapor instead.
What I wasn't prepared for was that from the first time I used the PV, I didn't feel the need to light up another smoke, and I haven't done so. Vaping has got me through the hard part, which was nowhere near as hard as I thought it was going to be. I was steeling myself for ugly withdrawal symptoms that never happened. I don't understand why, really, but hey, I'll take it! So it's six weeks later and I've broken my addiction to cigarettes, and I've weaned myself down to practically nothing in terms of e-liquid. When my current supply runs out, that's all, folks.
My lungs don't wheeze anymore. My phlegmy cough has just about completely cleared up. I'm getting my senses of smell and taste back. This has worked out much better than I figured it could. Not everybody has the same experience. It is more difficult for some to get off the nicotine and they feel they must go on vaping for however long until they can stop it. Bottom line is, you're not inhaling burning poison anymore. That's a huge bonus in and of itself. The rest... well, you have to want it. Good luck.
