The chuck is mod. This ia hollow tube. (where the battery goes) a switch and an adaptor. Inside there is wiring that connects the atomzers and swtch and battery which is similar to a flashlight.. mod are designed to have a longer lasting battey (in some cased 2 days). IIMO they don't produce more vapor or throat it. Right now the only one I hae uses 3.7 volts. I have ordered one with highter volts.
