What is a good dripper and build for a DNA 30?

Im still flavor chasing with my dna 30 and so far the only thing thats up to the task is my Kayfun. However, the kayfun is a bit bulky especially on top of my dna and I would love to get a nice little dripper on there. Im not really concerned with clouds and really only care about the flavor. I watch a lot of RIpTripper videos and since hes always flavor chasing I figured Id take some notes. The problem I noticed with his approach is that, he sets up my these high resistance coils, and then cranks the watts/volts up to get his flavor. I noticed when I do this my battery drains really fast since its constantly working around >4.5 volts, where as on a mech its <4.2 at all times. So Im trying to think of a build and atty that would somehow not require me to push the battery so much and maintain a normal 3.8 voltage setting and get me good flavor. I experimented with my Plumeveil and Nucleus but attys seem to be made for subohms. I guess really I just need an RDA that creates great flavor even at higher resistances, but which ones are those? I keep hearing Magma, I used to own one before but I always thought of it more as a cloud chasing atty...hmm.

Not for nothing, but you have a DNA 30 - a device whose advantages are a) more power, and b) lower ohm compatibility. I'd use it.

A Magma is a very nice atty. True, it shines at direct lung cloud chasing, but it can be dialed back and the deep wells get you more juice storage than most any other RDA. If you truly just want flavour, you will not beat a small chamber atty, like a cyclone or an A6 - both of which will just get better with lower ohms (nothing crazy - something like .6 ohm duals) and more power.

I, myself, find all I can handle for vapor and flavour out of a straight mech reo with an A6 (modded for bottom feeding and called the RM3 in reospeak) running dual coils.

In my opinion, the DNA 30's really shine at 1.0-1.5 ohm range. I've tried a few builds on my magma, but my favorite has been a 1.2 ohm single coil using 26 gauge kanthal. I vape this at 24 watts. Just the right warm and lots of flavor.

As best as I can tell, my DNA 30, and all others, is unregulated below 4 volts. So, if you are going to run it at 3.8 volts you may as well use a mechanical, because the chip in the DNA 30 will not be regulating your output anyway. I am with Blackboar that there is a sweet spot you can find that will run at a little over 4 volts and a decent wattage to use the capabilities of your DNA 30.

There are a lot of good drippers. I like the 454 Big Block by Krytonite presently on my Hana Modz DNA 30.

I received my Magma clone a couple of days ago. Right now, I'm vaping with a single 0.9Ω parallel macro coil (28ga) @ 28W and the flavor is out of this world. It's quite a warm vape, but that's what I wanted because I recently stepped down to 0mg nic. Before my Magma clone, I was vaping dual coils ~ 0.5Ω in my Zenith V2 (authentic) @ 28W and above.

I experience better flavor with my Magma clone build than my Zenith V2 build.

what resist are you at with that A6? I have a Atomic for my REO Grand, bought it already BF modded from a guy on this forum. Been using the RM2, but I think Ill rebuild that atomic. whats ohms that dual coil setup you like?
