What is a KICK exactly, and should I have one?

I have recently bought a K100 mod and I own a trident, also. I plan to be vaping Sub Ohm. I have a Sony 30amp 18650, so a hulk of a battery. What exactly does a kick do and would it either UP my performance or lower it?

A Kick turns you mechanical mod into a power regulated device, at the expense of space. Without an extension you wouldn't be able to use an 18650.

Potentially it would increase your performance. You can also switch to a variable wattage device. If you already have one it does nothing for you.

I plan to be vaping Sub Ohm. ?

A kick is regulated... it's of no value when sub-ohm vaping. Although it varies from brand to brand, typical max current is 5a and recommended for use above 1.5Ω.
