So many countries have different packaging types for analogs. When reading about ecigs, there is always that little comment that "1 cart = 1 pack of cigarettes". Its confusing since there are different sized packs. Or you read a post that a person used to smoke 3 packs a day...well how many cigs is that?

What is your "average" size pack and carton? Cost?

Here in Canada, the average pack is 25 cigs, 8 packs to a carton, and near $90 ($80USD).

I think pretty much everywhere a pack is 20 cigs and a carton 10 packs. In my country (Uruguay) a pack costs 2.00 US dollars.

What's more important is that the company selling to you isn't ripping you off. Smaller ecigs are no where near 1 cart = 1 pack, more like 4-8 cigs. Penstyles get around 15 cigs a cart, cigars and pipes some more.
Don't believe a company telling you 1 cart = 1 pack unless it's one of the 3 last models I mentioned above.

A pack to me is Full Flavor Marlboro Menthol's 20 cigs to a pack and 10 packs to a carton.

Here in Arizona a pack can run anywhere from $5.50 per pack up to $8.75 per pack. Luckily there are some Indian Reservations in Arizona that can avoid some of the taxes ($4.80 per pack for me).

I still smoke analogs but I'm only smoking about 5 butts per day, down from 30-40 cigs per day.

I smoked ( and I say smoked because I will have "quit" in but a few hours) Pall Mall Full Flavor 100's. 20 come in a pack, and 10 in a carton. A carton runs about 30$ USD with Utah tax. I generally would pick it up at the Jubilee.

$70 a carton in Chicago

Marlboro Menthol cigs. 20 per pack, 10 packs per carton.

Here in ohio, They just increased the taxes on cigs again in the beginning of april. A pack now costs like $6.15 or so ( can't remember the exact price ). A carton costs over $60.

I'd go through a carton in about 8 days. ( Just a little over a pack a day ).

Won't take very long to start saving money with e-cigs at all.

Marlboro red 72's. I only buy double packs (buy one get one free) now cuz the price of cigs are so extreme. Right now a double of red 72's runs about $8.00 to $9.50. Cartons here are 20 cigs per pack and 10 packs a carton running approx $60.00. 2 pack a day user on the 72's. 1 1/2 pack a day user on the full size reds. On a side note we can get 25 packs of reds in Cali. Cost's about 50cents to a dollar more than the standard 20 pack. Think they just call the wide packs, not like camel wides that are wider cigarettes but wider packaging that allows for 25 cigs.

In the UK you can still but cigs in 10s! Probably not for long though - it's one of the measures the government is considering to prevent nasty little kids from buying cigs. Most packs do seem to be sold in 20s though. In vending machines they used to come in 16s - I don't know whether that's still the case as I haven't used one in over 15 years.

Cartons come in both 100 cigs (5 x 20) and 200 (10 x 20). No saving on the cost buying this way - well, maybe a few pence.

I buy cheapish menthols, at £4.80 a pack of 20. Most cigs are well over £5 for 20.

My best deal last year was 400 for £35 in an airport duty free shop - or £1.75 a pack! In the same duty free shop this March, no such deals. Darn!
