The regular analogs I smoked before quitting were only about $4.50/pack here in Iowa. But a couple of times while traveling out of state I ran out and had to buy on the road and they were ridiculously expensive. Glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. Now I never leave home without at least 2 mods and 15mls of juice. And that's just to go to work for the day.

I should have read the first post before I voted. I paid 11 bucks for the last pack of cigarettes I bought, but they were Nat Sherman's. I stopped buying ready-made cigarettes for the most part years ago (I was rolling my own from 2009 until I quit smoking this year) but I always treated myself to a pack of Sherman's at Christmas time. I used to buy a carton or two before the taxes got outta control.

Funny to think that I paid about 65 cents for the first pack I ever bought and I swore I was gonna quit if they went up to a dollar!

In Alaska, where everything you buy was delivered by plane or barge everything costs more. It's worth celebrating if you can find analogs under $9.00.

I live in Ohio but work in Alaska, When I fly up I take 2 cartons with me (max allowed), but those never last so I would need to buy a few more at AK prices.

The equivalent of $17.50 here in England! Premium brands from certain places are crushingly expensive. $12.50 is about the standard price over here believe it or not! And yet the in-laws still smoke 4 packs a day between them

Couldn't believe when I was in Miami I could get two packs of Marlboro red for $10!

When I got out of boot camp/basic training for the Army and got to the airport I bought a pack and paid over 11 bucks for it. I hadn't smoked in 9 weeks and really didn't crave a smoke much because I was so busy. But... That's all I wanted when I was done with training. I smoked 3 straight down and felt drunk during the first half of my flight.
