What is a Tube Mod???

Hi, I was watching this video: YouTube - E-Cig cartridge Fluval re-stuffing 101

He has a little black stick thing he calls a tube that goes into the e cig filter tip. What is the purpose of this and where do I get one? Some one mentioned that it is used to help the liquid get to the wick. It looks like the shirt clip on a Bic pen cap, can I use that or do I really need this? Thanks, my e cig is in the mail and should be at my house on Friday or so I HOPE!!!

Also one other question. Do I need to do anything to the Fluval Pads before I use them, like soak in water or something first? How long do I soak if so? Thanks guys!

Okay, here's the deal. When you get your e-cig (if you've ordered a 3-piece kit) you MAY want to "modify" the cartridge so that it will wick better. ONE way to modify your cartridge is with fluval. There are other ways, as well: blue foam, pyramid tea bag, polyfill, etc.) Wait until you get your kit THEN worry about modifying your cartridges. You don't need to buy any fluval pads until you get your kit. And no, you don't need to soak it. The "little black stick thing he calls a tube" is the cartridge that fits into the end of the atomizer (heating coil.)

Just don't worry about that until you get your vape on. Once you see whether or not your carts vape well, you'll know more about whether or not you want to modify them.

Ok, thanks, I picked up some fluval already anyway, and I bought 5 different flavors to try so I will be filling them myself. The tips that come with the Riva 510 starter kit are empty so that's why. Thanks for the help, now I just have to wait hopefully only 2 more days til my kit is here!

Yea ..... I tried the foams and stuff .... it gave a weird smell .... so I decided to try tea bags ..... and you know what..... Its Perfect ... no smell .... taste great .... full flavor ... so yea thats just my input.

I agree. Ptb mod is my favorite so far when using carts but I haven't tried blue foam yet.
