I didn't think I needed VV. Then I got a spinner. I didn't think I needed a dripper. Then I got a Igo W. I didn't think I need to sub ohm. Then I did a dual twisted atty. I realized, I didn't need o sub ohm ad went back to my 1.8 ohms. I didn't think I needed a box mod. I got a MVP and realized I liked the box form factor.

I use 1.8 ohm 32 gauge at 8-9 watts and am perfectly content. My favorite setup is a little boy clone a twisted 32g 1.8 kanthal on my VT 40 using my homemade NET from Captain Black with some Dark Vapour, Black Fire, and some Vanilla added from FA at 9ish mg 50ies/50ish. A cold Guinness, that mix, a wood burning fire outside by my pool makes for one heck of a Saturday night. Now I just need summer back again.

I tried a box and now my cylinders just don't feel right.

my first MVP2 is sitting in my bag next to me. It has held a full charge for months, since I last used it to charge my phone at the beach. That mod was bullet proof and even outlasted my provari. I waited and waited and as soon as I saw the 60 watt MVP selling cheap on the trade forum... I bought 4 of them! My last tube mods were the aspire CF subs... I was thinking about getting a provari when they go sub ohm... but now even they are making a box mod... lol

Some like the smaller "package" of the box. And you don't have to go 10,000 watts, some top out at a much lower setting - and even then you don't have to use max power. (Speaking regulated boxes, of course.)

As mentioned, they don't roll away if you lay them down, are more "pocket friendly" than long tubes, and are less conspicuous - i.e. don't potentially look like a light saber or bedroom toy.

No you're not a drag queen.

A lot of vapers vape a LOT if juice like 10-20 ml of juice a day. To vape that much they need a mod with a lot of power, and most people use box mods with dual 18650 batteries..................................

I thought that people used a lot of liquid because their device caused them to......

Hi all! I am curious to way so many vapors are now using Box Mods. I can't give you any kind of honest reason why I don't care for them. My main reason is I don't like the way they look. I may be all wrong
and missing out on something good.

It appears to me that they will soon out sell even mods.

I am a female and like sleek nice looking e-cigs. Either that or I must be a drag queen.:p

I didn't think I wanted a box type APV but decided to try a MVP. Loved it so much I ended up with 5 4 of them (sold one). Then I got my first istick. Really really loved it so now have a total of 8 of them. 6 30watt and 2 20 watt. The 20's don't get much love anymore because the 30's are awesome. I love having all the power I need in such a small, comfortable to hold, package.

I still use my 1300mAp vision spinners but they are slowly being pushed to the side. They are just to long for me now that I have gotten used to the compact isticks.

Provari went sub-ohm some time ago. They won't go to .1 or anything like that, but the 2.5 and 3 will both fire at .5 ohms.

Chipotle.
One word, Capacity. I tried to stave off getting into box mods(mechanical only) because I really do very much like the standard 22mm tube mod, however because of my usage style if I want to carry a 22mm 18650 tube mod for the day I generally also bring two extra batteries with me in a case. With my favorite box mod I've got all three batteries contained in one mod, providing 7500mah of battery power which allows me to vape 15ml of juice at very low resistances without the need to charge batteries at all during an entire day, sometimes I can even go two days without charging!

Triple parallel 18650 in pretty much the smallest package possible, with higher capacity batteries such as the LG MJ1 you can potentially have 10,000mah+ in this thing.

My last oder from fasttech got held up in customs, and I think the reason was on the customs forms the description of items included the word 'perfumery'.

I wouldn't be surprised if the problem was something on the description of the items on the customs forms

Do they have a better flavor than all the others?

The "mod" itself is just a battery. Lest we forget that.

The "flavor" comes from good delivery device (that you put on that battery), as well as the eliquid itself, of course.

Batteries don't "technically" impart flavor anymore than a battery inside a Maglite flashlight imparts light.....the bulb is what gives the light, although of course, if you battery is weak it won't supply the power to the bulb it needs. :)

Do box mods give better flavor? No better than a tube mod if it was exact same specs, using exact same delivery device, at same ohms/watts, and same ejuice. Some mods of course supply better, more consistent, more accurate, and less 'rattle" type power.

Some of this is subective, of course.

I had a few isticks. IMHO, they are cheap so I didn't expect much out of them. I have vaped long enough to know exactly what 3.4v or 5v or 7v should give me on a certain delivery device of a certain ohms using a certain eliquid.......and I'm here to say that the istick can't exactly be called "accurate"

Most vapers would never notice that so it's no big deal. And no, I am not using any kind of "measuring device" although someone probably already has.

The chance of blowing up my face eventually made me move to regulated mods

All you've done is switch your risk to depending on a "chip" to keep you safe...... whereas a person who understands mechanical mod safety is depending on their own knowledge about their equipment to keep them safe.

Not sure one is better than the other, since the answer is "it depends" on so many factors.

In EITHER scenario, if the equipment isn't maintained and used properly, the risk of mishap is probably somewhat similar.
