What is happening to my carto

I was vaping at 4.5 volts on a 3 ohm single coil carto (2.9 when I started) in a 5ml tank, then bad taste and resistance dropped to 2.1. I let it cool down and resistance went back up to 2.4 ohms. Vaped some more at 4 volts and resistance dropped to 2.3,2.2, 2.1. Cooled back down and went to 2.4 ohms once again. What is going on? By the way, the carto is the bottom of my trash can now?

I have been having the same problem lately with some Boge cartos. I dunno what is going on with some of them anymore, they start at 3ohms and just get lower and lower untill my provari just says NO. If i drop the voltage i can get them to work again of course but the Ohms still continue to drop untill I cant drop the voltage anymore to help.
