I finally want to make the leap to rba Drippable Atomizers. 99% of consensus points to the fact that they drip through 10ml-15ml of juice per day. Generally using clearomizers I can get through about a 15ml bottle in four or five days at 24mg/ml.

I'm not going to by a bottle a day, that cost more than a pack of cigarettes per day which is counter intuitive.

What I want to do it assemble and gain insight to what others do in this same situation. What is in the standard juice maker's box beyond pg and vg and Nic liquid. Flavorings I'm leaning towards tobacco. With that what would most consider the standard Tobacco Flavoring?

Also do most use syringes to measure out the incrediants?

Beyond what you mentioned, my kit includes left over bottles from pre-made juice (free), some distlled water (about $1/gallon at a grocery store), a few flavorings ($5-10 each), and two disposable syringes with blunt tipped needles and clear packing tape over the markings (about $3.00 for both). I think the majority here use syringes, but scales are also popular, and some get by measuring with drops.

Regarding the "the standard Tobacco Flavoring," no such animal exists around here to my knowledge. There are at least as many opinions concerning how to make the best tobacco vape as there are contributors to this forum. There are a few brands that are popular here, and then several offerings from each brand. Maybe if you describe the tobacco flavor you want, e.g. what brand of cigarettes you are used to, you will get a few recipes.

I have a blog here on ECF that will provide some useful tips as well as some recommended reading (other blogs [i.e. Danny's and Hoosier's] and threads here on ECF).

A few other useful items for your toolkit that are easily overlooked: patience, a willingness to learn, and a roll of paper towels. And think about where you will do your mixing and how you will clean up, deal with potential spills, and generally avoid making yourself or others sick.

Recommended PPE (personal protective equipment): disposable gloves and eye protection (your glasses should be OK).

I found small funnels too be helpful when filling your day bottles.
Make sure you have a good block of time, you don't want to rush, and mess up.
Write it down AS you do the measurments- it keeps you on track.
Use good juice calculators.
Have fun with flavors!
A 30ml bottle of 18mg/ml costs me $3.30 or 11cents a ml. So, you are on the right track.
Go to the sites mentioned above, they helped me a lot.
Vape on!

IMO, the best tobacco/cigar/pipe flavors come from VapingZone. They are strong, consistent and good overall. They also don't have a ridiculous steep time that most other tobaccos have (some up to a month with others). Usually my tobaccos from them are good to go within a week. I've also heard good things about Inawera and they are very cheap. However, my experience has been nothing of note so I cannot personally attest to that. However, if you decide to go that route, I highly recommend getting some of what they call Neutral Dirty Base. All of the people that have been successful with their flavors use it. You can get it with nicotine or without. (if without, you would just use it as a substitute to plain PG or VG)
For measuring, I use Syringes. 5ML and 1ML. I make small batches however, so if you will be making larger ones, I'd recommend getting a 10ML syringe for your base liquids. 1ML is for the flavorings.
I wouldn't mess with additives for now as they can easily screw up a juice that would have otherwise been good. I have found that tobaccos don't really need them anyway.
Write down your recipes/percentages for future mixes! I cannot stress this enough. I am currently ticked because I made a really good juice and cannot find the darn recipe for it. I know I wrote it down but it must have fallen into a black hole somewhere.

You can get syringes and needles cheap at farm supply stores like Tractor Supply.

Nicotine liquid is the expensive part. Opinions vary on taste. You can get small quantities from places like DIY Flavorshack in Las Vegas.
Next is flavorings. But some mix in small amounts like drops and some need 10-20% to taste right, so 1 or 2 ml per 10ml bottle.

I vape a lot of unflavored. Very cheap and handy.

Plus one for danny and Hoosier blogs and just for grins read mine.

Based on Dannys blog I got my kit together, finally got the last bits just about 2 hours ago in the mail.. Just waiting on some glass bottles to dry out to make my first little test batches..

I was gonna drop $30 at Nude Nicotine for their 'basic' starter kit but figured I could probably do a little better piecing things together..

Used Nude for my 250ml PG, 250ml VG, a 20 pack of 18ga needles, and a 50ml conical vial for mixing. Just under $20 total.
Vaperstek - 120ml 100mg Nicotine. $16 with shipping out the door.
Wizard Labs - 6 8ml TFA flavors. Another $11 or so (and of course Killer Juice who makes the only juice I buy, lowered the prices on their flavorings but I didnt check until AFTER I bought the TFA...)

I didnt have to worry about syringes since my mom is a nurse and sent me a crapload of 1ml, 3ml, 10ml, 20ml ones..
Didnt bother with goggles since I like to think of myself as fairly careful of not rubbing my face while working with 100mg nic, and didnt bother with the gloves either since the roommate dyes her hair every couple of weeks and has a bunch in the bathroom from Sallys already..

All in all, came out to just under $47. Wizard Labs was actually the cheapest 'one stop' spot to get most of it, but because of either the liquids themselves or just the weight, by the time I racked up $50 in supplies the only shipping option I had was like $23.. I ordered just my flavorings from them and what do ya know, I had multiple shipping options that werent priority mail.. Same reason I didnt purchase anything from RTS or MFS either, they only offered me ONE shipping rate that was ridiculous.. Nude Nicotine had the cheapest shipping for me since theyre like an hour from me down in San Diego, but their nic was twice the price of Vapersteks ($16 with shipping vs. $19 without), even though they both get some pretty stellar reviews here.. I really wish Wizard Labs had more shipping options, cause that $50 kit I put together was actually a bit better than what I ended with (that included syringes, nitrile gloves, goggles, and 2 GLASS cylinders for mixing) but by the time shipping came up, it bumped the order up to $75 EEEEK!!

I guess I should make up an unflavored batch and check this out.. In the 4-5 months Ive been vaping, Ive tasted enough junk that didnt deliver what it was supposed to anyways, Ill probably dig it just fine..

So far my favorite tobacco flavors are Inawera - Burley and Seedman's - Captain Black I have tried a few I didn't like but many others love them. I prefer the dry kinda taste not the really sweet flavors I have gotten from many tobaccos.

Lots of syringes and needle tips. Mainly 14 and 20 gauge. the others aren't needed in between. I stole the stainless steel needle from a flavor injector and cut the tip off. It works really well for VG as it is about a 12 gauge needle. And it fits all my syringes. The 40ml syringe with it wasn't strong enough to suck up liquids. I order the 10 ml plastic bottles from bullcityvapors.com whenever I order flavor from them. 10 bottles is $5 and they are handy for mixing tests as well as out and about dripping. Nude nicotine has a good price on larger bottles

So much more man. Get some flavor you like, to cut your tobaccos with if that is your thing. I don't really like straight tobaccos. And the easiest flavor I have found to be successful with is menthol. couple drops of hangsen vanilla, couple drops of inawera burly and 3 drops of menthol in a 6mg 5ml base.tasty and Strong right after I get home from work. Or anytime i am starting not to taste other stuff.

Most of all have fun! Doesn't really matter what anyone thinks as long as it tastes good to you.

Another thing to add to a WL order to get the price up is the nicotine test kit

Nicotine Test Kit

Less than $10 and you get a couple of syringes and 3 blunt needles as well. Doesn't hurt to check that you are getting what you paid for.

Thanks, I did not know they could be gotten that cheaply, and a couple of extra syringes makes it a great deal. Have you tried using it? What level of difficulty would you give it?

Not bad at all. The page I linked has the instructions. I tested two nics and a 4 year old juice when I got it. I tried to be cheap and test 1ml and that didn't work so well.

2. Use one 3ml syringe with 16g (purple) or 14g (green) needle to accurately measure exactly 1ml, 2ml, or 3ml sample of nicotine solution to be tested, and dispense into mixing cup.

It is easier to see the color change with a 3ml sample.

Of those Tobacco flavorings, which one's would you thing would be a good starting point for a Pipe Tobacco blend.

Also I had noticed that some of my favorite tobacco juices have a nutty flavor to them.

Thankz
