What is Pass-Through Protection?

I have heard that exact phrasing not just pass through but pass through protection in numerous vape reviews and it's probably a marketing term to make something that most mods do sound like it's something better than it is lol but I could be totally wrong that is just a guess with nothing backing it up but I have definitely heard that term many times phrased that exact way
