Okay, so tonight I made my all day vape of 60 ml vanilla cream. I love this stuff and vape it always. When I get down to about 30 ml, I make another batch. 30 ml lasts me about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. Anyhow, I figured I would post a pic of my new batch and my already steeped 30 ml batch side by side. I know when I started vaping I had a hard time understanding about steeping. I am hoping this pic helps people understand the difference. I used to be addicted to ordering flavors from all over the place. I would taste them from the mailbox and not be too thrilled. Anyhow, I thought maybe a pic of the same juice before steeping and a pic of it after it's steeped about a month would help describe the difference. Feel free to add your comments about the importance of steeping! :) Now if I was to get this juice in the mail that I just made, I'd probably not like it alot. LOL. But to wait a bit. OMG! Delicious!

This is the way I do it...Every month I order 7 30 ml bottles of juice from Mt Baker Vapor...after discount and free shipping it only comes to 50 dollars. I actually got the idea from someone on here. Its for me and my mother so its still plenty. Plus I can let them sit for a month and when I get to them they are wonderful!

I save my glass bottles that I get from another vendor and transfer them into those. They are amber dark colored and think it helps with the process.

Actually, the glass bottles will inhibit steeping since No air can get in. It does protect the juice from breaking down over time. I would suggest steeping your liquid to the desired state, then transferring to the glass to keep it at your desired state. You can refrigerate them to slow the process even further. If I'm wrong, someone will be by to correct me ;) At that point I will learn something new! :D

Thanks Robino. I actually didn't know that about glass bottles. I knew they are excellent for flavor extracts and nic liquid, but didn't realize they didn't allow for steeping. I'm cheap and just reuse bottles I've had from premade juices I ordered in the past. I have a drawer full of them. I do refrigerate my organic flavor extracts and freeze my nic in brown glass bottles though.

I haven't had a problem with plastic but after a year I throw old juices out. Also juices that have a lot of sweetener in them can get rather dark or brown. They should still be fine as long as you like the flavor. But some do better steeping and some are better right after you make them. Fruits tend to not require steeping. And I don't like to wait too long on sweets if they start getting real dark. They tend to clog the atomizers faster. Luckily the juice I Vape all day just gets that pretty orange color and stays that way.

This is true, PET bottles and glass bottles don't let air in so it slows down the steeping. It still happens, just at a slower rate. It can be sped up by opening the bottle for a few minutes daily and giving it a good shake so the new oxygen can spread.

I have read a few posts about steeping by soaking the bottles in hot water withing a plastic bag, to keep the labels from coming off. Another method I have heard, for those in hot climates like FL, is to keep them in your car all day and let the heat step them over the course of a day.
I haven't tried the hot car steep method but the hot water method seemed to work very well. I also have a metal box I put on top of a lamp fixture and let it steep over a few days using the heat form my compact fluorescent Ikea light fixture.
