what is steeping?

I recently switched from a rechargeable ecig Kit (blu) it got me off regular cigs but it was so boring. Anyway, now i have an ego with an 1100 battery and i got several different cleromizers and e liquids to try from mad vapes. I absolutely love the liquid i bought from the store i got my ego starter kit from locally. Hungry scarlacc tobacco. It is so good and complex has tobacco vanilla and like a million other different flavors. But the liquid i got in the mail seems to taste like perfume. No tobacco flavor at all. The only one that's even vapable to me is chocolate and i don't think i can vape that all day. So if i tried steeping the others would that help? how do you steep e juice? I can't really find a definitive answer anywhere.
So grateful for any helpful answers!

I've seen a lot of different ways, some give the bottles a warm water bath, some use ultra sound cleaning machines, and others simply use a dark cabinet. I use the last one. I'll shake the bottle vigorously(lots of tiny air bubbles in the juice), pull the cap and dripper off, and let it sit in a dark cabinet. Every day I'll replace the cap and proses, do this for a few day until the color changes and VAPE!! LOL Can't really say how long it will take as each flavor I've used or made has it's own "sweet spot".

Most pre-made e-liquids are made in large batches, bottled, and set aside in a warehouse awaiting sale/delivery to a customer. The sitting on a shelf allows the e-liquid to steep naturally.

The e-liquids made by vendors who make custom e-liquids at the time you place the order will require some steep time. Typically what I do is upon delivery I will remove the cap for about 24 hours to let the liquid to "air out" and allow any alcohol base to evaporate. I then replace the cap and set it aside in a cool dark place, maybe shaking the bottle every day, for 1 - 2 weeks (depends upon the flavor). Nothing works better than just "time" or allowing the flavors to "age" naturally.

Think of steeping like this. Say you make a pot roast. It tastes good on the day you make it. But the flavors of the combined ingredients improve over the next couple of days as the flavors meld together.

Davey, if you're buying pre-mixed juices, try vendors like giantvapes.com
Every juice I've gotten from them did not require steeping... for example, I ordered a Potion Vapes More Plum from them last week. Well, Potion Vapes puts a "Born On" date on their bottles... the bottle was already close to 3 months old.... that's steeped enough for me!!

I would guess that if a company was big enough and profitable enough that they could make mass quantities of liquids of all flavors, pg/vg ratios, and nic contents ahead of time, and not have to be concerned about having all their resources tied up in unsold product, they would have presteeped liquids ready to sell. That's just a guess though, I'm sure there are other factors that come into play also.

Roger that, David. [emoji4]

I took all my shoes off a shelf in my closet to do this. All new juice gets vaped right out of the mailbox to determine if I can enjoy any of them right away. The ones I want to 'age' get shaken vigorously, then get de-capped and de-tipped for 8 hours. The caps\tips get put back on, shaken like mad, and then wait there in the dark for a week. Every time I walk past the closet, they get shaken again. I vape them a week later to see how they taste, but all of my juice, regardless of age or initial vapability (is that even a word?) spends its life in the closet, away from direct sunlight. And I always shake the bottle until it has bubbles dispersed throughout the liquid before filling my tank.
If someone had told me 3 months ago that I'd be doing such bizarre activities, I'd have LMAO. [emoji13] But 9 times out of 10, it makes all the difference.

Happy steeping! [emoji4]
